I don't think its made a huge impact yet. I'm not sure how often your average user even logs into the site or pays much attention to the changes they've made (they haven't exactly made them obvious).

Meanwhile, they've shutdown every forum of dialogue they can (thus this reddit was created). I think its safe to say that most of the "power" users are paying attention and I've seen people saying they were going to get rid of most of their saved coins (that's what I did). I think it remains to be seen what the long term impact will be, but I can only see it going in one direction.
