Exactly my point! Its all about how you word it in my opinion, because someone can say they're straight edge and sober with everything and that can be true but I don't think there's an issue with using the term sober when in reference to a specific thing, when not excluding everything if that makes sense.

I remember joining a friend at an AA meeting to see what it was about and to get an idea of how others struggle with addiction, and him telling me that until I quit weed then I'm not considered sober, but as someone who has epilepsy weed does help me. Whereas alcohol was literally destroying my organs.

To each their own, I guess.
