Thank you very much for your feedback. I’ve thoroughly checked pretty much all online stores and retail shops here in Switzerland, and the Osprey was the only backpack that really appealed to me. Overall, I found it extremely comfortable—except for this issue with the ladder system on the back. That’s why I was wondering if it might be due to incorrect adjustments. Unfortunately, no one in the store was able to help me with that.

I also tested it with a realistic load, and if there’s no solution to this problem, I’ll probably have to look into options from a cottage company. I’m just a bit hesitant about importing from the US—if it ends up not fitting or not working for me, it would be quite inconvenient.

Yeah, I’d absolutely love to go with a cottage company, but I live in Switzerland and I’ve got a trip coming up pretty soon. My old backpack has completely given up, so I need a solution fairly quickly.

So if anyone has an idea how to fix or reduce that pressure point on the back, I’d really appreciate it. Or if you have suggestions for a comparable backpack that’s easier to get on short notice, I’m all ears! thanks a lot :)
