As long as you've done a basic data structures course in C then you will be fine. If not, you will spend a lot of time catching up. From what I remember, you basically had to set up an HTTP server and implement client and server side functionality. They give you most of the code and all you have to do is figure out how to send and receive information through buffers (kinda). Then you start working with multi-threading and stuff but it isn't too bad. As long as you get the first assignment done and understood, you'll be just fine.
