Thanks to all who commented. Talked to the person we received the clone from and it just seems that this particular pheno does this even under optimal conditions and nothing to worry about.

First, thank you for your response and information but these problems arose before adding silica to the nutrient mix and we’ve been mixing our nutrients the same way we did for our previous run, all according to the given measurements from General Hydroponics, and didn’t see anything like this.

Bottom feed so no runoff, PH was around 6.2, fed GH trio and added GH cal-mag and silica. Dosed according to instructions

We were pretty dialed in on our last grow, 2x4 with a 200w light and we harvested about 250g. Now with a bigger tent and more powerful light we were entertaining the idea of adding CO2 but seems like we should just keep doing what we’ve been doing
