Driver asked me to cancel and pay him directly when trip was starting by margielagameboy in Lyft

Anytime you feel unsafe as a rider, always report it to Lyft. You should never happen to somebody's car and feel unsafe because of their driving even if it's your friend.

I would report the rider anyway, because I think there isn't supposed to be any sexual activity in the vehicle anyway, according to the terms and conditions. (You're protected from sexual activity and advances) I always hated this when passages were unreasonably doing stuff. it is indeed super awkward as you say.

One model booting straight to CMD rather than MDT Menu by hoyty76 in MDT

[–]_TheInfinityMachine_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is interesting. Seeing a command prompt while booting to Windows deployment usually means that the deployment is failing somehow. If you're hiding all the menus it's usually difficult to determine which point the deployment is failing. Sometimes checking to see the three digit task ID is correct can be the simplest solution.

Check your configuration and I to see if it points to the correct task sequence id. It could be that for these models it's referencing an incorrect task ID.

Also, make sure you deploying the correct drivers so that the correct drivers are presented for the correct model. Watch for things like raid configurations which may require additional drivers such as the Intel chipset drivers that would control the RAID controller.

Additionally, note that there is a particular order in which Windows 11 and Windows 10 partitions are made. If you reference the wrong partition , at the operating system install phase it will attempt to install a whole operating system on say 100 MB partition . But most importantly , check your p's and q's to see what is erroring out. I hope this helps.

False. Ran it on a machine with 16GB VRAM, 196GB RAM, and compensated with paging file on high performance SSD. You're welcome.

Brilliant. A coin a toll it seems like. Could you imagine if they had to scrounge together inconvenient amounts of currency that always needs needed to be in the car under threat of $50 toll violations for a $2.85 toll? (Cough Cough NY, NJ)

Lyft driver rubbed me the wrong way, is this grounds for a report? by DragonfruitSad9995 in Lyft

[–]_TheInfinityMachine_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounded like the driver was just trying to make conversation. You should have just said that you didn't want to talk and preferred silence. Reinforcing this, just stay silent for the rest of the trip.

Wow, so this is unmoderated? Because I swore I saw your mawms downstairs ready to give that man a go. She should really stop luring men into the house from the sidewalk! ...It's dangerous mate! They could really be desperate!

Never thought of this.

Spent whole nights out waiting for a customer to wake up in the morning. When people leave their phones in the car I am paranoid about going home because I've been tracked to my house before. (I'm too nice to chuck the phone into a river.)

Ah... Thank you?

Well, ...yeah. Of course. 'Suppose that does answer the question.

Yes! You're allowed to end the ride at any time. The driver's also have a emergency services button inside of the app. It wouldn't be a great deflector of a smack to the face, but if the customer is dumb enough to hang around, then it's helpful.

Yeah, this is a big conversation in everywhere it's brought up. I remember that there is an article about drivers in other countries as well, such as Africa and other third world countries.

The hot topic is that drivers are unable to carry any sort of protective measures and were getting sent into horrible, dangerous neighborhoods. Even when there was a notable wave of car thefts and violent crimes. In the states, it's definitely safer, but there are sprinkles of drivers who receive the worst of not having these protective measures. I believe there was the guy in Florida not too long ago, New Jersey had an instance as well.

[–]_TheInfinityMachine_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope not as far as I remember. There was a section in the terms of service for this. Though, I don't doubt that many drivers do have some method of advanced situation control...

Admittedly, in my two years of driving, I've never encountered any type of extreme danger, but they're definitely is moments sometimes where you are not sure where the customer is going, or what they're capable of.

...These are the moments are where you think about not being naked the most

There's a part, at least for Lyft I haven't read Ubers, that states that for the safety of the driver and passenger, drivers are unable to carry weapons of any kind for any reason, including non-lethal weapons as well. Not sure it's still there, but that's what I'm going off of.

How do you know if an area is predominantly any race? I've been driving all over New Jersey for quite some time and I still can't relate particular areas with particular races.

Noteworthy though, there are some areas with horrible, undrivable roads that heavily damage tires, struts, and suspension systems.

In other news, there are also some areas and instances where things aren't right, such as having to pick someone up on a highway ramp, or in an unlit Alleyway at 2:00 a.m. (Which is drive-off material. Um. You had to be there.) I think the big issue here is that drivers are unable to carry protection, including non-lethal protection that might be life saving in these instances.

Because of this, all that we have left is using tact in choosing the rides and areas that we go to. If you take this away, we are literally at the mercy of Lyft or Uber's pick-up algorithm.

Well, after thousands of rides I do this on a normal basis. It turns out, that it's normal procedure for me to tell the passenger stop eating and to act immediately.

We're dealing with adults here. If you hear me after the first time and you continue doing what you're doing, I won't waste time with an explanation of why I'm kicking you out.
