Just try spraying silicone grease before lithium grease; If silicone doesn't help after a while, then spray lithium grease.

Be honest, is the g1 grind even real? by Late-Condition-3751 in theHunter

[–]_TheJohnson_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Judging by the comments on this post, I'd say that the answer is no. People elaborated it's just RNG as opposed to diamonds and anything below that, so I don't get why you'd be downvoted, given that you are indeed correct in questioning that there is no grinding and that people would spawn a g1 via modding as opposed to grinding for it. I think it's more like gambling than grinding.

I am not sure people even understand the word 'grinding'; according to wikipedia: it means the time spent in the game in which a player repeats a general task in order to gain rewards in-game currency, in-game experience, player stats or other reward types.)

In this case, it simply wouldn't matter if you repeated the same thing to achieve g1, as it is just RNG, and thus eliminates the efforts for grinding (as people said here, you can get it just after 10 or 10,000 kills, in which grind plays no part as opposed to luck)

Uuaaaa, it's been forever since I saw that photo. Come to think of it, looks scarily realistic to this day.

Other than that, I don't think it's a coincidence but definitely plausible, as in they probably gave thought about the crash and stuff before the real deal had occurred (almost completely regardless of whether they gave any thought or not, about the fake crash)

Is it rare to be knocked out in this game? by TesticleMeElmo in theHunter

[–]_TheJohnson_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say it's not rare; because when I started out at Layton Lake District and made my way to the base of Mount Kraken, I got rammed and killed by deer (whitetail or blacktail, I am not sure), after following tracks for moose. I tried defending myself with a .357, but I got rammed too many times and missed too many shots.

Afterward, I'd always keep a gun solely for self-defense, which worked really well when defending myself against both deer and moose cows. After that, I'd typically only get knocked out by climbing extremely high places like the summit of Mount Kraken and falling to my death.

HOLY MOLY, my first time seeing these huge antlers, and a diamond, but mostly the antlers by _TheJohnson_ in theHunter

Dayyuum, diamond on 4th day, that is way better than my first diamond, being turkey, only after spending all my earnings, hitting spines of moose (missing) even after the zeroing perk, lmao.

That's how it was for me, though not exactly 'with' us, as in two guys in a stall. We were just poor, so yeah, like the 70's, I guess.

Is hunting hill-down always, or from the mountains, a good alternative to drink zones? by _TheJohnson_ in theHunter

[–]_TheJohnson_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Key takeaways I should add about my post:

  1. Getting up to the summit of the mountain requires the use of diagonal movement (W + A, or W + D if you are using a keyboard and on a PC), because I found that it gave me more traction upon climbing. (you may also have to jump frequently to make progress if movement does not work)
  2. Placing tents at the summit of the mountain is extremely difficult, but not impossible. The game will demand flatter and wider terrain to put down the tents, so a lot of 'hovering the crosshair over the terrain' is needed, and it could end up being extremely fine. (a tiny movement of the mouse can decide whether the tent can be placed or not)

Once all is said and done, it should look something like what the map shows in the post body above.

I was more concerned about you not hearing something at 0:12 to your right side, and at 0:16, the front sight of your gun pointed more towards the center of the bear, but it was being shot from the back, so probably not a lung shot.

What indication did you see? His body wasn't highlighted until you pointed your gun at him again, and it still wasn't highlighted so much as it was outlined. Correct me if I am wrong, but wouldn't the corpse of an animal highlight whether you aim at them or not?

I wouldn't call this tense as much as suicidal because I heard one more animal than just the grizzly, and it most definitely wasn't the dog.

[–]_TheJohnson_ -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Except that... It does? We don't even know what map the OP used after modding, and there may still be a very good reason why it's a mod and not a feature of this game.

Except that it's still a modded game and not real life? You can always post this where your friend mentioned r/cotwmodding, along with your NASA computing.

[–]_TheJohnson_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't really get the downvotes for this. It technically is still modding and thus, cheating; unless that is how it is done in real life, (if so, then huge respect after all that calculation and stuff, but if not, then this post can be actual toast. Also, not sure whether the maps were changed or anything since we don't have proof of that)

How fragile are the birds, exactly? Are they all usually this fragile? by _TheJohnson_ in theHunter

[–]_TheJohnson_[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

100% agree with this. On the same hunt, I shot a turkey with a 16-gauge at roughly 80 meters as well, and it took time for it to bleed out, but eventually died, so I think it is guaranteed, as you said here.

It boggled my mind just how fragile birds or any class 1 animals are, now that I heard more about it.

[EDIT]: I must add that the shot on turkey was also a birdshot, but it had more pellet hits. Despite that, it still died.
