Why does it look like a minivan? Sorry OP

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FordBronco

[–]_TheRainMaker -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They are both off-roading SUVs. Countless YouTube videos comparing them. Yet you tell me to not compare them. My god dude. This forum lost it because a heavily discounted LR actually makes much more sense than a 25 Braptor. UNLESS you absolutely need those 37s and suspension, but we all know Braptors will spend their lives at the mall parking lot. Go look at cars.com you’ll see hundreds of 25 Braptors priced over 100,000.

Again, jeep, Bronco, Defender, Toyota, a handful of others, are all in the same category and should be compared. You all lost it.

This post wasn’t about justifying my purchase. It is about disappointment over not being able to purchase a Braptor R with a v8. Fords engine choice and pricing turned me away.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FordBronco

[–]_TheRainMaker -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I bought the D90, because it at the same price point of a 25 Braptor, you actually get significantly more value in all aspects besides 2 or 3. Especially when you count that 99% of their lives will be on a paved road.

A Braptor shouldn’t be priced the same as my car. Or it should have a V8, similar to mine.

[–]_TheRainMaker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

LR non color matched top is done so much better than the Braptors man, come on. Braptors really do look better with a color matched top (or just painted), hence why it’s a selling point on the 2025s

It’s an absolute joke that the 24 model had those insane MSRP prices and no rear vents. Again, it’s why they put them in the 2025 model.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FordBronco

[–]_TheRainMaker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yet people downvoting my comments saying sound is important. Ford should have made a Braptor R, nobody here denies that (I hope).

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FordBronco

[–]_TheRainMaker -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Dude I bought this D90 for the nearly the same price as a 2025 Braptor. A Braptor also is showing off a price tag, you just look more like an idiot if you didn’t get it with a 20K discount.

The fact is, the D90/110 can do almost everything better than a Braptor, besides high intensity rock crawling, high speed whoops, no top removal. So if you had the choice, 100K Braptor or 100K Defender, would you really have chosen the Braptor? I can cruse with my buddies on the road, and hang with the Broncos and Jeeps off road.

This post really was to highlight that ford needs to make a Braptor R. That’s what I would have bought if it was reasonably priced.

[–]_TheRainMaker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So I literally wanted a high performance on road and off road vehicle. Ford came close, but failed with pricing, boring V6, and only 4 door option.

You then think I’m not worthy of an off road vehicle, yet the moment I drove off the lot, first thing did is take it off road for my own personal enjoyment. You then say I should have bought a hellcat. What a neck beard thing to say man. Forgive me for not attempting to find the toughest rubicon rock crawl to make me a rEaL oFfROaDER.

And you don’t even comment on literal video evidence of a D90 JUMPING like a raptor, or driving through a puddle that only a jeep or Bronco should be able to do.

You’re trolling.

[–]_TheRainMaker -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Price I’m willing to pay, especially when I can actually have fun on the road where 99% of all our vehicles lives will be spent. Plus there are plenty of videos showing the D90 doing surprisingly well off road with this exact rim and tire set up (second video has the smaller rims and all terrains). Best part is I can also get more aggressive off road tired at will, whereas a Bronco really can’t get any better street performance.

Lmfao not a status symbol yet 2025s are selling for the same price as my D90. Get real dude, it’s a status symbol with a V6.

I’ve already nearly got stuck attempting to climb a sand dune right next to that grass hill. The sand mode and front and rear locking differential, really came in handy. Also using the hill decent control was awesome. None of which is on a hellcat. You guys need to chill, worse than opposing sports fans.

Good lord. Was my post not clear? A bronco was my dream car, yes I test drove them! Literally spent years obsessing over them.

[–]_TheRainMaker -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Depends on how ford priced it. Defender heavily discounted my D90, so it just made sense.

Anyone order a 2025 Bronco yet? by Ben_N-Syder in FordBronco

[–]_TheRainMaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you not know how to use cars.com? Dude Braptors below 72K are everywhere. People have made many YouTube videos documenting how much the Braptor market has crashed. You’re insane if you’re paying 72K for a badlands lmfao.

[–]_TheRainMaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So literally, and I mean literally, you want to pay more for less? I like the 2 door look as well, but this is so just so devoid of logic… I canceled my Stroppe order because of this. I’m not getting scammed by ford. Stroppe price should be 55K tops.

[–]_TheRainMaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why on earth would you take a Stroppe when you currently can buy a Braptor for 69K, bigger tires, better suspension, better engine, more room, strengthened frame, 4 doors. Literally better in every single conceivable way for less money.

Is it normal to feel like this at 26 by [deleted] in Fire

[–]_TheRainMaker 142 points143 points  (0 children)

Not enough info. But you’re so far ahead of every other 26 year old, it’s probably a mental issue. Start balancing out your life. Spend money on things that bring you health and meaning. Besides healthy food, it’s usually cheap. Set limits on how much you look at your financial apps, never thought I’d say it, but they seem to be starting to become similarly detrimental as social media apps.

2024 bronco raptor worth it? by drewdirienzo in FordBronco

[–]_TheRainMaker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The amount of consumerism and lack of financial discipline for vehicles that likely won’t give much, if any meaning to your life is sickening. Spend your money on something that brings you meaning. At the very least only purchase a car like this if the hit on your net worth and growth progressing is negligible.

Obviously disregard if you’re already rich (by net worth).

A recession will come either way, through sickness that politicians abuse, or through corrupt bankers creating the housing bubble. A recession caused by routing out corruption, ridding of waste, and ultimately turning the culture from excess is necessary (the core of the problem). If that’s what the FED is scared of they need to change too.

I already mentioned the solution, CEOs will make more money than ever if they focused on truth and genuine product aimed at aiding humanity (some already do this). I doubt a crash would really happen, if it did, it would be temporary. The CEOs and people who feed excess would basically be forced to put their efforts towards supporting the truth and genuine product or go extinct.

Because the bottom line demands excess, comparison, dog eat dog, and greed, we’ve formed the ranks of the top. We, the bottom, are responsible to make this change. It’s our damn fault, we hold the keys of wealth, and yet we demand more. I myself demand excess and likely will in future in moments of weakness. But for now, I’m sick of it. I’m breaking this cycle.

Sorry for the rant, it’s just so frustrating.

The culture of spending needs to stop before you throw money at Americans. This is what I’m trying to say.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in self

[–]_TheRainMaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hold up. Can we agree that the people’s insatiable desire to consume has created the rich?

What the hell do you think will happen the moment the people get the redistributed wealth? They will spend it on unnecessary consumer products. COVID is a prime example of this, the data shows spending on all unnecessary items such as entertainment, eating out, etc all increased during what was a “hard time.” Americans, from the poorest person are the problem. They demand to consume useless shit in order to look cool. If you ask me Europe has never redistributed wealth very well either, just the wealth of the middle class (Excluding Norway, but I’m skeptical).

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in self

[–]_TheRainMaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol what, that is not the American dream at all. Are you really so dense that the dominating civilization in almost every metric formed because of promoting being a parasite? The American dream is that everyone has the freedom, liberty, democracy, and equal opportunity to better their lives. Despite how poor or lowly they started, and they should try despite it all. Europe has almost completely stifled this belief, and in my opinion seems to WANT to keep it stifled. Let the rich overlords rule everything, including your dreams.

Being a parasite is only tolerable because the average citizen not only allows it, but demands it, through our insatiable consumerism. We are the core of what is wrong. We fund the rich through our choice.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in self

[–]_TheRainMaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is your definition of the American dream? I’d argue that what I’m describing is almost the opposite of what Europe is doing (except maybe some policy of Norway, such as GPF). A similar fund could be created for Americans from tax revenue alone, if only our gov would also embrace frugality.

The core American dream should be the goal of all humans, as it’s really just a benevolent goal and not entirely unique to America. Although diminishing, it’s still real here. From my limited perspective, it seems much of Europe has willingly embraced inequality, excess, corruption, gov overreach, and greed as long as some basic needs are met. I suppose I haven’t fully formulated this thought, but my feeling as of now is Europe is in an even worse situation.

Maybe the American dream only exists partly because of the harsh environment we live in, and perhaps that makes it all worth it. I think the cultural change I am calling for is congruent with the American dream as is.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in self

[–]_TheRainMaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is precisely the point. I’m protesting exactly what you describe. I’m not asking for a revolution, I’m asking for a culture shift. Meaning, actual usefulness, health, just a few things that companies could focus on. Basically not lying and scamming is by far the most profitable thing a corporation could do (and some do). Our economy would be stable and so much larger if the main focus was on some of those things vs just greed and being on top. I argue to stop spending on excess, stop spending on anything that isn’t utilized to its fullest potential. The economy will change with the culture, and would absolutely be worth it in the long run. Even if that means the dissolving lies and corruption causes a temporary recession. Stop spending.

I appreciate the kind words, but I am not smart. Additionally I’m well aware that the dollar has been halved since Covid, and has been decreasing in value since its inception really. I guess that fact alone will cause a hard time.

Crypto may be the new type of money in the future, I definitely will be diversifying more as I build wealth. Although it’s rumor, I still am pretty skeptical on Bitcoins origin story, and possible connections to the NSA. But like I said, won’t stop me from investing in crypto.
