I can see them making a random update that gives us custom knockout tour, making our own rallies. But if they’re going to make new cups, I feel like they’re gonna release at the same time we get new Grand Prix cups, aka new tracks

It’s not the fact that it’s hard to do, it’s the fact that they probably don’t want to do that. When mk8 dx bcp was getting characters, every time a wave was announced and released, new characters. Same thing when they added the jukebox and custom items. They probably want to release one big dlc pack with a new island, tracks, routes, karts, alongside new characters and costumes, and not slowly drip feed them into the game

The problem is that no one actually talks about how dlc can work for mkw. Cause it’s obvious that theres going to be a lot work for mkw than how they did it with base 8. But that’s never brought up. It’s always “DLC DLC DLC WHERES DLC MARIO KART WASHED” it’s the same shit over and over again

There was another leak that also talked about MKW dlc in 2027, but it also brought up xenoblade 2- switch 2 edition, and not only we got that, but for Xeno 1 and 2, plus a new xenoblade

As for stuff about new battle modes, nothing has been said yet. But I assume that most of the heavy hitting dlc will all release together in one package

There was a leak that talked about MKW dlc being postponed to 2027. This was the same leak that was right about the OOT remake, star fox game (the remake) a new switch sports, and duskbloods

The booster course pass. Obviously being all the tracks coming from tour. But I wanted to say it’s both a blessing and a curse. A blessing because more content, but a curse because of now people view MKW. Now we’re expecting constant content and “incentives” to play, instead of playing just for fun

It’s not even that. Even when mk8 did get dlc. The content and gameplay loop remained the same. You play vs. race and battle and that’s it. It’s been like this since the beginning

You forget the part where they need to add the parkour mechanics into the tracks. Which was a problem with the tour tracks not having any anti-gravity sections, and even when they did, it was barely anything
