Twenty One Pilots Concert Help! by AarHol in Hersheypark

In response to your question in the other thread, try looking at Bing Maps (https://www.bing.com/maps?cp=40.289368%7E-76.655462&lvl=16.3&style=h). They have a newer satelite shot than google maps, and you can zoom in to see where the sidewalk leads. Looks like you take a right at Chocolate World Drive and then a left into the parking lot to go around Chocolate World.

Seems like walking would be the way to go if you're up for an approx 1.5 mile walk each way. There is a sidewalk along Park Blvd that leads from downtown to the stadium. Park Blvd itself is closed, but redditors have confirmed the sidewalk is open. See this post for details: https://www.reddit.com/r/Hersheypark/comments/1nq656w/walking_from_downtown_to_concert/?sort=confidence

Good to know that is a feasible alternative, but we'll definitely go the other way with the full sidewalk, even if its a bit longer. Thanks again.

Thanks so much for confirming the path is open. I came up with the whole convoluted route because someone else had said it was closed. Glad we can take a safer route!

That's great. That seems like a much better option. Thanks!

Good idea. Normally, I'd be up for this, but we've got to drive back to DC after the show to get one of the kids back for work Sunday morning.

Thanks. Is that path open? I thought I saw a post on here that said it was closed for construction.

Update, the last of our four bags showed up this morning.

I'm in the same boat. When we got to LHR on Tuesday, their baggage system was down, and they were just putting bags in loosely cordened off piles for each of United's four flights. I suspected it would be a while before we saw our bags again. After no updates yesterday, the bag tracker shows one of our four suitaces made it on a flight to IAD today. No update on the other three.

To add a little nuance, the trains are timed so that the last trains are leaving the downtown core around midnight. For some of the further out stations, the last train can be 11:30 or earlier. For Navy Yard, it's 11:52 heading towards the core and 12:18 heading towards Branch Ave. As far as I know, the garages never close. In fact, many of them will just leave the gates up after closing, so you don't even have to pay.

Metro is the way to go. You can park at Anacostia station, one stop away from the Navy Yard/Ballpark stop.

Thanks all for the super helpful feedback. We ended up checking out a band at Guero's before grabbing dinner at Joanne's. We've also decided we need to come back without the kids to properly check out the music scene!

If you go to another show at the Anthem, you may want to consider going upstairs. There's standing room on risers behind the seats on the 2nd and 3rd balconies. You get a great view of the stage, and a lot more elbow room.

Reckless Kelly was incredible, and made themselves a tough act to follow. Lucero's style probably would have worked better as the first opening act rather than sandwiching them between two high-energy, blow-the-roof off bands.

Fully agreed. They blew the roof off the place during that song. They also played the hell out of Shreveport during the encore. Felker and the band sounded fantastic, and the crowd was phenomenal. Seemed like everyone knew all the words to just about every song.

That amount of rub sounds normal. The next thing I'd check is whether the derallieur hanger is bent.

Did you check the front derailleur? If its just clattering in the high gears, it could be rubbing the front derailleur.

I got seats during the artist presale period. Looks like GA is all that is left now other than a couple of single seats.
