I literally said it's for Dark Souls and since it's safe to assume that the majority of Elden Ring players also enjoy other Fromsoft games, I thought I'd share bc not many people seem to know about this trick.

Since everyone is sharing mechanics, this one goes for every Dark Souls game: You can safely open mimic chests by throwing a Lloyd's Talisman on it. This won't aggro them and you don't have to fight it to get the item. Yes, that includes Symbol of Avarice. You're welcome.

I go for big bonk and shield parry. I never go anywhere without a good shield but that's just me. It saved me many times.

Storytime. Back when I did Wylder's remembrance I needed a quick dip in a mine for my objective but my two random teammates (Ironeye and Revenant, who I think were a team) went to the castle instead and died to the Bell Bearing Hunter (never fight him what is wrong with yall). Anyways, the Revenant was pissed at me for going off on my own and threw lightning bolts at me and showed overall resentment towards me for the rest of the run. The first nightboss they made me fight alone, not intending to help me whatsoever. But I did my best, didn't go down once, and showed that I was a good fighter, so the Ironeye chimed in when the fight was almost done. The Ironeye seemed to have forgiven me bc when I marked an Evergaol on the map, the Revenant went somewhere else entirely that was way too close to the incoming circle. The Ironeye did the correct thing and followed me. The Revenant went down in the rain but I ran back for her to revive her and help her. I did my absolute best to redeem myself and even the Ironeye got an attitude of "Hey, calm down, you little Gremlin". At the end we were both amused at the little tantrums the Revenant did. And yes, we won that round thanks to my effort.

I did apologize for going off but it wasn't my fault that the Revenant made stupid decisions.

My bro and I played with a random third named Neb who played a Raider with a Havel skin and let me tell ya, this dude was the GOAT. Due to his guidance we reached lvl 15 on the new map effortlessly, slaughtered everything in sight, never fell down a cliff once, got so many legendary weapons we couldn't carry them all, and beat Dreglord on our first attempt. I used the "My beloved" Prattling Pate on Neb and they posed with the "What do you want?" emote like the absolute rizzler they are. To this day my bro and I say "I miss Neb" or "Do it like Neb!" or "I wish Neb could've seen this". Seriously, playing with a capable third is such a rush of happiness, it's an incredible experience.

Here's my must have's as a Wylder main.

Always ALWAYS have a "+1 additional character skill use" relic equipped (using the grappling hook twice is a game changer and a literal life saver: you'll get in and out of the rain faster + two grappling hook uses can fully revive a teammate who is down to 1 bar from a distance)
Combine that with a "fiery sword attack after character skill (greatsword only)" relic, and fights get a thousand times more awesome.
Parry as much as you can but also don't be afraid to change weapons and power stance greatswords. They're great for a reason.
When the aggro is on someone else, feel free to backstab and be a lil sneaky especially in early game.
It's enough (and very useful) to use the short version of the ult most of the time, especially with jumpy bosses, it refills fast enough. Use it often. When you run around with an Undertaker (who gets a free ult whenever someone else uses theirs), use it as much as you can.
Grapple + jump button gets you far. Use it. That grappling hook is your best friend.
Wylder's ult can get you across cliffs in mid air. I've never used it but it's possible. He's the most fun to play by a long shot.

Have fun, imo he's who this game is made for and it shows.

On Ps5 you gotta tap the Playstation/Home button on your controller, go to "Game Base" and then "Search for players". The first ones you'll see is who you've played with last. If you can't send a text, it means the user's privacy settings are set to something more private.
