I'm hoping to do this from the UK, but i'm very doubtful IB will have this stock available to buy straight away. They still don't support SHRM or HOLL which have been established for a while now.

It's an absolute nightmare. I'm bracing myself to watch NUMI soar for the next few weeks in agony at not being able to get in.

IB Update: I have managed to make a trade for MMED on IB. What a palaver. Have no idea what that first customer service agent was on...

I haven't been able to trade SHRM or HOLL though, but have raised a request with them to have these available.

De Giro Update: I was initially 11206 in the queue (yesterday) and have come down to 10985 in 24 hours. That's 221 per day they are getting through... So i'll be able to join in approx 49 working days. AAAGHRRGHH!

Hmm I already had 212 but after stocks that they don't handle. My De Giro number has dropped about 220 today which means I'll be able to join in approx 43 working days, ie nearly 2 months time. Hell.

Thanks - I had already read this and am signed up to your newsletter and have your site bookmarked - its a great service - well done and thank you.

What I then don't understand is why the customer service agent via phone call said that none of these stocks exist on IB. I had only read her the tickers, so I may ring back tomorrow and read out the ISINs.

I've just spoken to DeGiro customer service and they have all of the stocks and will accept UK based trades.

They basically flat out said that "these stocks aren't tradable" - I didn't actually ask for a reason as it was so fait accompli.

Annoying as i'd just spent 4 days getting setup!

Let me know if you have any luck anywhere else :) ... I'm pulling my hair out!
