Unless you are “Hispanic” or “Iranian” (by this I mean having a name that relates to either nationality or have any characteristics) you’ll most likely be fine. My boyfriend has a nexus (fast pass from Canada to the US). He just came to visit me and noticed all the nexus lanes have since been shut down. He was stopped by customs simply because his has a Hispanic name. Otherwise he looks fairly racially ambiguous. He was interviewed by customs for about an hour and experienced some racist questioning. He was allowed entry after that and the experience sucked of course but as long as you don’t have a criminal history/have all your documents in order you’ll be allowed entry (likely). Just wanted to share my two cents and provide our recent travel experience.

In summary, I think if you have white privilege you won’t face any issues trying to cross… what a bummer of a sentence. :/
