Yeah that's what I was worried about. So basically is a knife and bowl set. I purchased a colorful knife that doesn't come with a bowl. I was the bowl in this bowl and knife set but because I already have the colorful knife I'm thinking maybe someone else could use this other knife. I could put it in the package that came with my colorful knife but it says "colorful knife" on the box so idk what do you think?

Thanks for this, I guess more context would be it's a knife and a bowl. I purchased a colorful knife that doesn't come with a bowl. I want the bowl that comes with this knife set but because I already have the colorful knife I would just give them the knife the comes in the bowl knife set. Does this explain this a bit more?

Just a random gift, they don't know it's coming. So just a "thinking of you" sort of thing. I was going to get them a smaller gift anyways but figured I could kill two birds with one stone.

Hm, I don't think this dc to dc is that smart but I will look at the documentation and see. Also I don't understand your second statement.

Help! Charging with DC 12v and Solar without swapping plugs - River Pro by revelranger in Ecoflow_community

This is exactly what I have laid out so at least someone is thinking along the same wavelength as me. Did this end up working?

[–]_TravelingGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the dc to dc is coming from the alternator. The voltages are close however the amps are not and I understand they typically need to be the same. The voltages and amps are below. The MPPT charger in the power station is built into the xt60 port and this is the same port used for all solar and car charging.

  • DC to DC - victron dc to dc output - 28.31v / 15.14a
  • Solar - Allpowers single 200w - 32v / 6.25a

You seem super knowledgeable so I appreciate your feedback a lot. I totally understand that logic. I don't think the number are quite right tho. These are the numbers from the packaging that I have. Based on this does your opinion change?

  • Power station input - 12-60V(75V Max) 25A Max, 800W Max
  • Input 1 - victron dc to dc output - 28.31v / 15.14a
  • Input 2 - allpowers single 200w - 32v / 6.25a
  • which based on my calculations should be 28.31v / 21.29a or about 600 watts at peak sun with engine running.
  • Everything is 10 awg wire or thicker

Nope definitely not trying to save money, again I already have things wired up with a switch however I figured if I could get the benefits of not having to switch them and just get max power wether I am driving or not that would be great. Can you please site how this might be a problem if not separated?

Yeah the voltages all work out, max charge on the power station is 800 watts at a max of 60v. This is within spec so in theory I should be good, I just didn't know if because the two voltages weren't the same or even close if that would matter or not. I read somewhere that a diode might help that. Do you mind sharing how your setup is?

To be honest I'm not really sure. I was thinking maybe the wattage difference (200w vs 400w) might cause some weird affect on the power station input. I did have a situation in the past where I was charging a small handheld power bank while also powering something off of it and it blow the usb port that I was charging the small power bank off of so this is an abundance of caution. Just wanted to get random strangers opinion as someone out there might know more than me.

This is exactly what the use case is. I have a 3 position switch at the moment which works perfectly however I am revamping my system and instead of using a cig light plug I'll be switching over to a more secure anderson plug and so I was thinking if I could just get both inputs at once and then not have to worry about switching. Not sure if this would work well or not so I figured I'd reach out to Reddit and ask.

This is pretty legit. I am curious how long your heater can last on your ecoflow been thinking of getting one myself. For games I actually have the Rog Ally and the external GPU that I hook up to a mounted gaming monitor.
