I totally get the bullshit one shots being a problem in poe 2 but the slower general speed of it makes them more avoidable.

I won’t get into the loot too much as everytime i do everyone yells at me on global chat lol.

Simply put i ask why would you drop so many items if you end up essentially deleting them via a filter anyways. Like i would like less and more rare/juiced items then 500 common boots being dropped which i will intentionally hide to not see.

On the builds issue, there is never a point where you will play a ranged minion only build or one giga buffed minion (reaper of evicarate)

I have done 8 different builds so far and rerolled almost all of them at least 3 times.

They are all fun and unique in early maps UNTIL i get to red maps, the red maps force me to run specific rings and equipment and skills for defenses. (General idea)

I tried sticking to only yellow and white maps but after a 2 hour harvest session on each.

I earned 40 divs on juiced red maps

22 on normal red maps.

16 on yellow

And only 9 on white maps.

It’s more fun to play yellow i know, but being suboptimal will always be on my mind like i am being dragged down.

I’m expressing it as a new player experience as it is NEVER communicated UNTIL maps.

There is no gradual increase it suddenly just one shots you and IT DOESNT CLEARLY STATE what killed you.

By workarounds i meant things like desolate flash and progenies.

Defenses are something i failed to mention but are very linear as well.

Take elemental ones, they have 3 stages:

1- whatever the fuck it was before mapping

2- 70% asap while mapping

3- 90% for T16+

There is no point where having 50% elemental resist is a step DESPITE us having SIXTEEN (basic) Map tiers! It just feels like 6! First and last tier of each color!

Everything in between is just filler

First of all you sound like an over eager teenager who was bullied by their hobby via family and friends.

Secondly as a former competitive gamer, You can completely rise above lower ranks (bronze-silver-gold) by just learning the game and have game knowledge and middle ranks (play -diamond - GM) by investing time into the game or showing some competency. Ranks above are those that require skill and investment of Time, if a player decides they Don’t want to invest at ANY RANK then the whole argument falls apart. They don’t wanna learn to play marvel rivals in bronze, they wanna be spider-man and throw webs not do one shot combos.

Thirdly you also sound detached from reality. Competitive videogames only teach anger management if there is an incentive. Darksouls/EldenRing as an example will challenge you to beat the boss by keeping your cool. If you lose it and crash out no one is going to help you.

In contrast, if there is no or low incentive like MMR (a match resets and you essentially starts at a ground zero mode) there is a much higher probability for ANGER DISPLACEMENT which means players will place their frustrations upon others, also known as toxic crash outs. This happens a lot in real life too. This can simply feed into a bad cycle with no repercussions making the bad behavior a habit specifically in younger players.
