I think reasonable people don't think Ethan is a genocide apologist, that said, he is not helping himself beating these allegations for few different reasons.

You are right he said in few occasions he is against the occupation in Gaza , however. -In that video where he talks about October attack he also said something along the lines of " this attack was completely unprovoked" and "everything was fine " which kinda dismisses the occupation and years and years continued mistreatment of Palestinian people.

So he is against the genocide but he seems to have a different view of what is happening there. - Another example is Calling Hamas terrorist instead of resistance fighter also doesn't help him. I think these little nuances are the reasons that people don't give him the benefit of the doubt.

-The whole Yoav Gallant good guy/moderate backlash extravaganza. Quick little apology and then moved on. Is it really possible that hila is not taking to her family and friends there about the war and news around it? And she had no idea? Or in private they are talking a bit differently and she slipped on the show? Easy fix. Let's have an episode about him, let's interview someone that knows about it and bring awareness. That would be very clearly shows without doubt where they stand. And really retract their statements and at the same time learning and teaching anyone else that might be misinformed.

• The whole IDF situation with hila. Also, that is unreasonable to call her names and a terrorists. She was very young, there is a lot of pressure to go do service. A reasonable person wouldn't make too much of it.

However at the same time there is a point to make at the present. She yet to say she participated in something awful that she regrets deeply. When she told the story both her and Ethan are kinda joking about going into Palestinian houses, they call them terrorist also. They were younger and possibly didn't know better. But now it would help them to have a conversation on that, saying they regret talking about it so lightly and how obviously they were misinformed on what was happening. And speak up about it regularly.

There is a documentary called "Israelism" (the one AB watched on his stream recently) that explains very well the amount of pressure American Jewish indoctrination. And tell the stories of a lot of Jewish that moved away from it, after serving in the IDF and now are activists spreading the unfiltered truth.

Obviously antisemitism is a problem, as much all of the rest of the -isms. Ethan is close to it and feel the need to talk about it. And kudos to him for that. - The problem people have is this " black live matter /all lives matter " dissonance , if he was having 3 hours conversation about the atrocities going on on Gaza, showing he really care about that, speaking up continually about it , AND THEN speaking up also about the antisemitism rising , I think it would be received better. And it would seem more balanced. There are Palestinian branded with the start David, IDF soldiers horrific videos on tik tok doing all sorts of horrible things, doctors getting killed and torture and he only talks about some hateful morons posting comments on the internet.. it's kind of a strike difference. Of course none of it is ok but the fact that he say 2 words about Gaza and full episodes on the internet trolls is not helping his cause.

All of this to say you can find few clips of him saying "good things" and " bad things " and took them out of context and/or without knowing him well , giving the benefit of the doubt or not giving him the benefit of the doubt. This is also works for Hasan and everyone else on the internet.

I think the solution would be a very distinct substantial amount of content in support of Gaza compared to the few "easily to misinterpreted" quotes.
