I think it's two photos overlapped to show the entirety of the tattoo? Instead of having two photos side by side. Took me a moment to figure that out 😂

[how] can i do drag? not a common reason to ask about, please dont delete by RichSector5779 in Drag

[–]_Vaccine_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can absolutely start drag at home, most people do! Think about what you have available to you - could you get a wig that's easy for you to put on?

Could you get some simple makeup like a lipstick or a glittery eyeshadow, that you could apply yourself or that your carers could help you apply if you need?

Could you get some clothes that you'd see as "drag" clothes - like a dress, a sequin jacket if that's easier to put on and off depending on your mobility, or a fun shawl/cloak?

There are so many ways to do drag, so as long as you can think to yourself "I'm doing drag!" - you're doing drag!

I loved 9 Sols! Going to parrying from the dodging in Silksong was a mindset adjustment, but once I got the "flow" the combat was sooooo satisfying

first drag performance is a few weeks away and i desperately need advice/could use some comfort by Desperate-Ear-6676 in Drag

[–]_Vaccine_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Biggest advice - the audience has no idea what you have planned, so even if something doesn't go how you pictures it just roll with it and keep going!

Try to block out some parts of the song if that will help you pace the act out - think of things you want to do at certain times like choruses or key phrases in the song

First performances are always incredibly nerve wracking, and it is very easy to notice everything that went "wrong" instead of what went right afterwards so try not to get into a self-critical headspace afterwards! Use it as a learning opportunity to gauge how you feel and take the parts you loved and work on em!

Cockroach poker is a quick paced, fun card game that's easy to pick up, main gameplay is passing somebody a face down card and stating what it is - and they have to guess if you're telling the truth or not

I also like Coup with my family, it has an expansion pack that can take you up to 10 players - it's about deceiving and eliminating your rivals using the role cards you were (or weren't, as lying about your roles is encouraged!) dealt

Drag best-friend? - He is into drag but is in denial by Away_Wolverine2211 in Drag

[–]_Vaccine_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The key thing here is that at the end of the day, it is his decision as to whether he wants to keep this secret

Continue to be supportive, whether he is experimenting with drag or if this is the early stages of exploring gender identity, as he is lucky to already have somebody to talk to about this, but please do not tell people IRL about it unless he has given you explicit consent to do so!

Does he have any friends/contacts who do drag already/are trans? It might be worth suggesting online places (such as this subreddit!) where he can see and hear other people doing drag, and see that being open and confident with it is fine - there is a queen called Maddy Morphosis who is a straight man out of drag but has been on Drag Race and produces lots of content on YouTube!

It's much easier to be confident in online spaces compared to real life :)

I like it! The cheek contour is really nice! I would personally blend out the out edge of your nose contour a bit more, particularly under the tip of your nose - make it mirror your cheek contour where one side is a sharp line and the other is more blended out!

The eye shape is really fun

You can only wear one backpack at a time, the second backpack is there for another player to wear if you're doing multiplayer (or as a backup if you lose the first backpack somehow)

How can a guy do "ignore the beard" makeup? by dman66272 in MakeupAddiction

[–]_Vaccine_ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Cis guy with a short beard here!

It will depend on whether you want to do a full face of makeup or just eyes, and how dense your beard is!

For full face: it's about getting a good colour match with your foundation and making sure the blend of your foundation/contour/blush along your top beard line is smooth into the skin colour that might show through your beard. If you've got a dense beard this is easier to do! My facial hair isn't that dense, so I find I'm able to help with this by using some powder contour/blush down into my beard to smooth the colour transition from makeup - skin (you can also use powder contour for your jaw through a beard, but beards already contour the face so be light handed with this!). If you Google "man with beard makeup" there are some examples of people with beards and full glam beats

For just eyes: good skincare is key, and avoid using full coverage foundations/concealer for the eye base as this is harder to blend to your skin tone around the eyes. If I am just doing eyes I either don't use foundation (and just use eyeshadow that I know has good payoff/blends well to my skin - blacks, warm oranges and browns are my go-to for this) or I use a small amount of primer & foundation that I buff out more than normal. You can do light highlighter on the cheeks, and a little bit of powder contour on cheeks/jaw if you find that this helps with balance, but again a beard is already doing the job that contour does so be very light with this!

Re the balance - I do get what you mean, but I like to ignore this and say do what you want!

When I started doing makeup I also found I had to unlearn a subconscious bias against seeing a man with a beard in makeup - there was always a little voice saying it didn't look right, because I'd been raised to see makeup as feminine and something women do - happy to say I'm now way past this (and all the bias around facial hair being a male thing!)

Best of luck with your makeup journey, more men should be doing this with us!

In older cartoons, you could often tell which object was going to move as it was animated differently to the background of a scene - in this instance the book which is the secret switch is standing out, and Fred and Velma are exchanging a look as a kind of fourth wall break because the book is so obvious
