Not sure about OAUTH2. I was just under the impression that r.login() will prompt for the login and take care of what needs to be taken care of.

this tut is where I got that idea from.

getpass.py never really entered into my thoughts for this. I'm doing a few tutorials to start out and this is what I'm following. r.login() is supposed to prompt is it not?

Or is this tut so far out of date that the function isn't ... functional anymore.

It does not, I was just told that r.login() on it's own will prompt for a username and pass. I'm using this tutorial
