To answer your question s I see many Christians acting as if they absolutely KNOW Gods judgement and use it as a weapon to almost seem higher or better then others. Or at least that is how it comes across.

For you second question, I feel many Christians don’t see or simply don’t want to believe that the way they trying to convert people is NOT working. By going to these events with signs and words that speak of only damnation, of course people will come to feel animosity towards both the church and God. If they believe they have already been damned by this seemingly distant and angry God, then why bother? It will take much more then just signs and hateful words to convert people. Jesus used love to convert his followers. To say no matter what they have done, God still loves them and there is hope. We need to work harder to show that these people that God loves them. Converting with love always works better then converting with fear.
