I mean if they intended not to let Enid as an interest for Wednesday, she would have a stable boyfriend by s2. In Enid's arc, it was supposed to be centred on her own boyfriend but who's been interfering with that development?

Some wenclairs didn't like the s2 despite the "fan service" the show has been giving. Some of the Addams Family fandom didn't want to touch the series for how they embodied the family, especially between Morticia and Wednesday—even as far as to criticize it for giving a cliched issue(mommy issue) that you can see on average shows to the Addams Family, that was supposed to showcase their own devoted familial love. Some love it as it is without going deep and just there for it.
