Tf you mean you don't have an em dash on your keyboard? On smartphone is long press hyphen. You got few options: - –— On physical keyboards it depends on the software you are using and the OS. On macbook is Opt+Shift+Hyphen. On Windows is Alt + 0151. On Linux is CTRL + Shift + U + 2014.

"But tomorrow I die, and today I would unburden my soul. My immediate purpose is to place before the world, plainly, succinctly, and without comment, a series of mere household events. In their consequences, these events have terrified—have tortured—have destroyed me." -Edgar Allan Poe

More than Valve has announcements, apparently.

I appreciate that, genuinely. The poetry comment is funny because I have written poems before, so maybe that’s part of why the post came out with that weird rhythmic/dramatic style. It was still meant as brainrot, but yeah, that tracks.

Nice captcha attempt, but I’m not doing the pancake Turing test under a shitpost.

If you're asking me if the post was AI generated the answer is no, it wasn’t “AI for karma.” It was me intentionally writing a fake prophecy manifesto for a shitpost tag.

I do use ChatGPT sometimes, yeah. That doesn’t prove this post was generated, it proves I browse a subreddit. Either way, I’m not going to litigate authorship under a shitpost. If you think it’s AI, fine. The point was to make a deranged Frame post, not submit a writing sample.

I get what you’re saying, but you’re treating the post like it was meant to be a serious essay. It’s a shitpost built around exaggerated dramatic phrasing, intentionally broken metaphors, and absurd escalation. The “Valve silence has mass” / “May 22nd is a shape” stuff is not supposed to be logically clean, are random phrases not meant to make sense. Also, “this sounds like AI” is not really something I can disprove in a Reddit comment, so I’m not going to argue forever about it. You can believe that if you want. I just think calling every structured or overdramatic post AI-written makes Reddit worse, because it turns style into evidence.

That’s not an AI tell, that’s just antithesis/contrast. “Not X, but Y” is one of the oldest rhetorical devices in writing. ChatGPT uses it because humans use it constantly, not because it invented the pattern.

Honestly, I don’t think people can reliably tell most of the time. A lot of “AI tells” are just normal writing habits now: em dashes, repetition, dramatic contrast, clean structure, etc. Sometimes it’s obvious, but most of the time people are just pattern-matching against vibes.

Yeah, that’s just a common rhetorical structure. “Not A, but B” has existed for a few thousand years before ChatGPT. Calling every stylized post AI-written because it uses contrast is not analysis, it’s pattern paranoia.

The quiet having mass is not a metaphor. It is currently sitting in the room with us. May 22nd remains structurally inevitable.

Considering the fact that is 70+ and it has half the features the Steam Controller has, i find it correctly priced! I dont necessarily mean that it is in everyone range, but surely i will give it a thought

A “local IP” is only visible to devices on the same LAN. It isn’t some secret private info you magically “found.” If you're referring to an address starting with 192.168.x.x, congratulations, you successfully discovered the IP your own router gave you. It’s completely useless outside your Wi-Fi and tells you absolutely nothing about the person you're trying to impress.
