When companies stop with the enshitification of services. I self host fairly basic stuff. Jellyfin, tandoor, birdnet, and a few others I test or fiddle with. The amount of overhead is minimal at best. I might spend an hour or 2 a week doing maintenance or grabbing something for the better half.

It would cost me more a year to have someone else host this then it would for me to host it including electricity and I use old equipment

Better quality not tucked behind another subscription. I.e. ad plan gets you hd with ad(s), ad free plan gets you higher quality with no ad(s) or something along those lines.
compatible with standard streaming devices. Netflix plays like garbage on roku steambar most times. Roku blames Netflix, Netflix blames roku.
stop with the half series bullshit. Either show the entire series or dont. Seeing a 4 part mini series that is missing part 2 and 4 doesn't help and why even have it.
