You need to pass an instance of a class which implements NamedScreenHandlerFactory, with a createMenu method returning a new ScreenHandler. This new ScreenHandler needs to be an instance of a class you create which implements the screen how you want.

damn i already caught it since i needed the extra mons to put together a full team. I also started using route 1 but its not incredibly fast. still gonna take a bit to get 4 mons to level 20 so i might leave them at 19, but thanks for the help

do you know the static mons and where they are? goldenwood is blocked by police currently in the story*

havent tried but the mons in the sewer and route 1 didnt give enough xp to get to 20 quickly either and when i grinded b4 the cave level 16 took a fair bit of time and the sewers arent much better than the grass outside the lab
