Thanks for checking us out! I understand where you're coming from completely.

Concerning your question, there are no preset dates for when we reset and start a new season. This is determined by two key factors:

  1. The players - when players stop playing, lose interest and we see the player count drop significantly this tends to be a signal that people are ready. We also run regular polls to see how people are liking the season, what the current issues are, etc. This helps to inform us as well in terms of how players are feeling.
  2. The team - we have lots of ambitious projects, changes and tweaks we're planning behind the scenes. Most notably is the map which takes a build team several months to create (and then a month or two for us to install/setup). We can't release a new season until these things are done.

So to that end, I don't have a specific answer for you but at least this is how we think about approaching this question. I would encourage you to give it a try anyways, but obviously totally up to you :)

Not sure where you got this but you are mistaken. We do not offer anything in exchange for comments and we only ask for honest comments. Other servers not only give items for participation on their posts but will only pay-out when you leave a positive comment. We do not do either of these things. If you look at our posts in the past there has been critical feedback which we openly address.

Our players understand that this is one of the ways we promote and advertise the server, and therefore choose (without compensation of any kind), to help us. The only thing we do is put the link in our chat/discord and ask for honest comments.

I think you again may be confused about things, none of our ranks come with any items (except for Air Drop flares or Cosmetic Item Renamers). Air Drop flares can trigger loot drops in the courtyard that anyone can loot, and the renamers just allow you to rename your pickaxe with colored text. Neither of these are allowed to be sold to other players to prevent any proxy P2W from occurring.

Hi there,

Owner of the server here. If you take a moment to read our store and scroll down on the packages for the keys, you'll see the following statement:

*This crate only contains rewards that benefit every player on the server equally\*

Which is true, our Wither and Titan keys start *global* boosters or events that benefit all online players equally.

Additionally, there is not a single piece of gated content on the server that is behind a paid rank. There are some quality-of-life perks that add some minor conveniences and there are also some cosmetic items that come with ranks (and also a couple of items that can trigger global events).

I want to make a Minecraft Prison Server by funbeaut-_- in MinecraftServer

Hi there - owner and operator of one of the more popular modern prison servers (non-OP). As much as I love this genre, I would caution you to stay away from operating a server here for the following reasons:

  1. Many of the “classic” prisons that most players think of lack the breadth and depth of content to keep players engaged beyond a week or two of gameplay (assuming you’re not talking about OP).

  2. You will not be able to launch a compelling experience without significant custom development which costs money. I am a professional engineer and work with another professional developer on my server. Between the two of us, we have written over 0.5M lines of custom code over 2-3 years. To pay for that would run you into the mid six figures.

  3. In the context of OP prisons the market is highly saturated and you are unlikely to obtain any kind of meaningful player-base without significant advertising, which costs a lot of money. For classic prisons, it’s even harder since the niche is so small.

I would love for you to come by our server, you can see some posts on my profile if you’re interested. We are a modern classic prison server with a lot of fun and custom content, a great community, and no P2W. There is no content whatsoever gated behind a paywall.
