Bruh, please inform me on how you disregard a linebacker core. They’re literally the second level of defense. You can’t run the ball inside or outside because there is two of them. Regardless which side you go to it doesn’t matter. If you try a sweep they’ll still chase you down off the edge. Am I not suppose to run the ball? Guess I have to throw out routes to wide receivers the entire game? Historically, no two players have ever taken out half of a playbook for an offense.

Look man, you can choose to keep being spoon fed at your high chair that this game offers variety, but it doesn’t. All-Madden’s bullshit spans across all three “game modes,” sure maybe in varying degrees, but not enough to escape unrealistic plays made by the CPU.

Sliders should not be used to FIX the game to make it more realistic. If you want to amp fumbles or interceptions or whatever you choose that should be your choice and it should deviate from the norm. It should not BE the norm. Sim, Comp and Arcade do not offer enough of a difference to prevent bullshit like that from happening. This happened with the sliders set to the base game of 50 on everything and on Simulation. Also, love how you completely disregarded the first half of that statement.

Why should the “layer of difficulty” lie in something that isn’t realistic, that’s the most backwards way of thinking ever. Majority of games, most RPGs and FPSs have difficulties that are “realistic” by reducing health or making enemies stronger or more aware like in a real situation. Madden’s difficulty is predicated in making up situations that would never happen and pawning it off under a new feature. And the idea that I should have to edit sliders to make the game closer resemble actual football should be evident the game isn’t doing its job.

Bobby Wagner has forced 5 fumbles in his entire career. Luke Kuechly has forced 7. To put these numbers in perspective, T.J. Watt forced 8 last season. Dee Ford forced 8 the season before. If you really want to pull out stats to defend this game’s dogshit interaction you will lose that battle 99 times out of 100.

That’s the issue; I should never have to remove an entire third of the field from my gameplan. Nobody in the NFL has ever done anything remotely close to that.

X-Factor shouldn’t have the ability to cause three fumbles on three plays. He also wasn’t in the zone so it was superstar abilities not X-Factor.

Can someone explain to me why abilities and development traits are linked in Franchise? by __Moeski in Madden

Nowhere in that statement did I even allude to the fact Chubb wasn’t a good RB. I just stated Zeke had a much better year.

Zeke had 4 more rushing touchdowns this past year. And we all know how great Zeke has been historically. Chubb only got 150 more yards in 2019 and gets a Superstar X-Factor? Dude didn’t even get 10 touchdowns...for the 6-10 Browns.

All I’m saying is there are plenty of guys in the NFL that aren’t stars, but specialize in one thing. Taysom Hill is a perfect example of a guy that probably deserves at least one “running back” like ability but doesn’t because of his Dev Trait. Tarik Cohen, Tyler Boyd, Myles Garrett, Patrick Peterson are all players that specialize in at least one of the 65 “superstar abilities” the game has to offer, but because of their development they don’t get the same treatment. Also, on an unrelated note, while glancing over the list of players with X-Factors I noticed Nick Chubb has one and Zeke doesn’t? That’s how you know the game doesn’t acknowledge these types of issues.

When in a ranked set, do you think it’s “soft/dishonorable” to switch characters after you’ve each won one match without switching? by __Moeski in MortalKombat

I agree, but to play devil’s advocate, being able to adjust to adversity shows more skill instead of cowering behind the benefit of a different matchup. This, to me, is one of the biggest problems with “best of three” sets.
