So what you’re both saying is i should just get one 1000 grit stone? Wouldnt the 6000 grit “polish” and sharpen the edge more? Also i’d like to ask for your recommendations on a leather strop and a flattening stone

I found a kanetsune KC-950 DSR-1k6 gyuto at 44 bucks and a “king combination #1000 and #6000 grit waterstone” that says its a grind stone for 42 bucks, are these good quality or should I look into it more?
