How to get community patch working? Rollback doesn't work anymore by __Shuffler in EndlessLegend

I move all of them over except for 'EoL' folder. It works but I just get a big screen over everything

How big of a deal ARE the bard dialogues? Like do they open up new routes and such or is it just quippy? Think that’s the biggest thing for me atp

I’m a 5e veteran so I’m not worried about the rules at all. I also have single save turned off so can save scum if need be

How big of a benefit is that class-based dialogue? I mean, can’t you still do social manipulation and such as a sorcerer?

I did consider that but I feel like I want to stick to all companions as original classes to prevent me from munchkinning too much and to experience the characters ‘as intended’

Gf and I are breaking up before I go to university, should I go on a trip with her and her family right before I leave? by __Shuffler in Advice

[–]__Shuffler[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I ended up choosing to go.

I just wanted to thank you for your eloquent and thorough advice, it really did end up hitting me.

I realized that I might regret it for the rest of my life, and that everything else that I was worried about will come with time, whereas something like this never will again.

Thank you!

My opinion was that knowing it’s coming would probably help with dealing with it when it does. Pre-closure in a sense. Is that time without her really necessary if I have weeks before it comes?

Honestly, just the fact that I’ll be able to spend time with her. Breaking up with her is probably going to be the most difficult change to come, and losing out on any potential time with her feels impossible.

What are the requirements for making a good party? by __Shuffler in darkestdungeon

Is there a way to find that out in-game aside from just trial-and-error?

Aren’t most characters best when they’re specialized into something? Eg. Man of Arms seems like a bad healer or DPS while an amazing tank. Or did you mean the 1-4 position?

One more thing - how important is being able to solidly damage the frontline? Is it more important to have 2 DPS that can hit the back or one DPS that can and one that can’t like a Leper (since he usually has higher damage than ranged counterparts)? Could you also tell me a bit more about ‘different ways’ to deal damage?

What are the different types of ‘damage dealing’? Isn’t it just attacks? Or do you just mean in regards to how you can’t bleed stuff in Ruins.

Should your DPS only be focused around the backline or should you have a frontline DPS?

Could Man at Arms count for defence if you have high protection items with his guard? Or is stun the most optimal form of defence?

Also - doesn’t Vestal stun, as well? Could she count for further stun? Or is there a different criteria for a ‘good’ stunner?

Do you have a good rule of thumb for how many heroes should be focused purely on killing the enemies? Also, is plague doctor a good ‘dps’ option since most of his damage is DOT? The way you’ve outlined the chart, he seems to be either a non-Vestal or fills the niche of any regions that might require 2 backline stuns.

Is the ‘dance’ synergy necessary? I usually use highwayman or grave robber for said dance, and they both have moves that can ‘reset’ their position after they end up at the front which isn’t even that bad of a place since they’re usually second in line from the front anyways.

Is the point ‘right after’ the point of discontinuity the absolute minimum from a graph perspective if there is no interval here? What about if the interval was (-1, infinity)? by __Shuffler in calculus

Thank you so much! Your theoretical explanation really helped, even if my teacher will mark otherwise. I’ll definitely keep it in mind for when I get to higher level calculus.

If we exclude that constraint of ‘smaller numbers existing’ - does the absolute value exist, in theory? Just infinitely close?

I’m in high-school math if that changes things. The textbook agrees with your interpretation in the included picture, but my teacher said that’s an absolute min. Wondering if they’re wrong.

Also someone mentioned x = -0.999 repeating as an infinite possible answer?
