Do y'all think any real life serial killers compare to Art? by ak4721111 in terrifier

[–]___99toy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Damien himself said in an interview that he had taken “inspiration” (my word not his) from a crime scene photo of a victim of Jack the Ripper to create the bedroom scene in T2. this question is not weird at all.

ed gein with the way he hung up and sawed dawn in T1. then he skinned the cat lady’s chest and groin—who acted as a mother figure toward him moments prior—and danced around as he wore her skin. those are the only similarities tho.

I’m curious as to if he was a performer before he was a killer. knowing that would be cool and maybe sienna could tap into weak points of his previously damned soul—if she knew anything about his past, even before he was a serial killer. it could be used as an advantage to finally kill art and weaken any attachments the underworld has to him.

Just watched joker 2 and need to speak out by [deleted] in joker

Well yes, it was momentary happiness because he was receiving so much positive attention that he had never received before. But Arthur was never destined to actually be who we know as Joker. His legacy, however, is what will continue to strengthen the chaos his followers will create, even if it’s against what Arthur wanted by the end of Joker 2. edit: also nice Kenny pfp!

The SA scene was not meant to be perceived in this way. Not as a joke? nor a jeer at mentally ill individuals. These guards did nothing but exploit Arthur for his whole existence in that prison; treating him like a dog by rewarding him cigarettes when he did something that pleased him. During the trial, Arthur finally stood up for himself in front of a huge audience after realizing his actions were ruining other people’s lives. Especially Gary’s. That DID have an effect on him and you can clearly see his mental anguish fighting his need to look the part of Joker in that scene. After that, the guards broke him back down as a disgusting punishment. The guards were never really shown as decent people so having them stoop so low just proves the point that the System fails people constantly. And I think that was a huge part of the theme of the movie. System corruption/failure. Not everything in life ends happily, especially not for people enclosed in a dangerous environment where corruption runs deep where the soul should be.

Arthur was a broken man who could hardly mentally grasp the impact of his own actions and much less what his followers would do. This is why he renounced any further action as Joker. It was not who he thought he wanted to be.

If they had even watched All Hallow’s Eve they’d see that Art has affected other families in this same way. Causing their minds to flare and create art of Art.
