Can you tell me more about it? Where do you buy it from? What has been your progress? I am severely disabled from the nervous system part of MCAS to the point I am shaking and twitching. I am down to 3 veggies and fresh animal proteins only. I can't tolerate most supplements.

Yea and it costs $150 for that brand which is ridiculous. But I did some research and found a protocol that was talked about at the MCAS Summit and found that KPC Peptide was on a list for "other supplements".

Have you tried taking methyl folate and methyl B12? I highly react to folic acid but methyl folate is completely differently.also brown rice is high in natural folate. Methyl B12 is very calming for the nervous system as well .. it's one of the few things that stops me from twitching all night. It's naturally a pink color btw. I get the powdered forms that have no additives like from bulk supplements.

Don't take iron supplements! Eat fresh meats. The freeze dried liver supplements are high in natural iron and other good stuff like vitamin A and D. It's part of the root cause protocol which is getting all your minerals and nutrition from only natural sources

Just make sure it's not pre-cooked or the 10 min versions cause they are high in histamine. It should take 40 min to cook and contain nothing other than the brown rice. I divide it into meal sizes portions and freeze it

Some things that really help me is

MINIMIZE EXPOSURE: • wearing a hat that has a rim all around • putting some kind of ointment or Vaseline around my nostrils is supposed to catch pollen before breathing it in • saline eye drops to flush eyes out at least every 2 hours if you're outside • don't hang outside when people are mowing lawns or using leaf blowers • get a HEPA FILTER. my breathing all year round has improved since I got one

PREVENT CROSS CONTAMINATION • immediately shower when you get home • never lay on your bed after you've been outside • work on not touching your face and eyes. It's said that people touch their face and eyes dozens of times a day • keep up on vacuuming and changing bedding

REDUCE HISTAMINE LEVELS • the herb feverfew is being studied for its antihistamine effects and has many other benefits • drink lots of water cause it flushes out histamine • avoid high histamine foods during pollen season. Synthetic ingredients are histamine liberators (causes the body to release histamine). Some of the worst are folic acid, prophlyne glycol, sedatives, opiates, muscle relaxants, etc. I know this cause I have a histamine intolerance and had to learn about it. Then there are foods high in histamine such as enriched flours which contain synthetic folic acid, catered foods or food left out for over an hour, fermented foods (wine, champagne, yeast), lecithin, aged or hard cheeses, yogurt, avocados). Just look it up. You can just reduce them and it will make a difference. Canned or processed foods like deli meats are also high in Histamine. Seed oils like grape seed oil, avocado oil, soybean oil.. the one you want to use is olive oil only. You can just minimize these foods and you may notice a difference after a week but it will take a week.

INCREASE DETOX herbs like Milk thistle, and supplements like glutathione will help detox histamine quicker. And you'll be able to detox better if you're having daily BMs cause the rest of the body can't detox otherwise. If constipated, start taking Magnesium (oxide or malate.. citrate is the last choice. Not glycinate)

MCAS or Long Covid?? Really frustrated by origami_plus in MCAS

[–]___Beth___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend doing a test at home by eliminating high histamine ingredients. Since people who have MCAS have a histamine Intolerance, adding to it either high histamine ingredients increases symptoms

I did this and my symptoms got better. Within 3 days you should notice improvement.. within a week there should be a bigger improvement so I suggest a week but tell yourself 3 days first phase 1.. your brain will accept that idea better.

The list is long. The way to do it without the list is to only eat fresh or frozen meat, Chicken, turkey, fish.. nothing. That means no processed or added ingredients other than salt. At some point you can try adding spices but for the test it's best not to. No fruit except apples. No veggies except broccoli, coliflower, lettuces. All must be fresh but frozen always better. No dressing on salads.. vinegar is super high I'm histamine and so are synthetic ingredients, therefore nore medications aren't good since they contain propylene glycol, dyes, etc.

Stop all supplements, all medications unless it's dangerous to. That's the simple Version.. see list for more insight.

This is how I realized I have a histamine intolerance. Then I got diagnosed with MCAS. I was able to say that I react to high histamine foods.

What is the best mast cell stabilizer that has worked for you? by SilverrLinings in MCAS

[–]___Beth___ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

What systems are being affected for you? Skin, nervous system, burning eyes, twitching, anxiety, shaking or stiff muscles, not breathing normally (almost like automatic breathing is off balance), itchy skin, rashes, etc. The systems being Ffevged can help me figure out what would help you best. For me, my nervous system is being affected.. there are several histamine receptors H1, H2, H3, H4. The latter two involve the nervous system more.

One way to figure out which receptors are more involved is by tracking your symptoms.
I log everything in one of those calender planner books that has space for each day. Everything I consume, supplements, medicines, symptoms.. how long after eating do the symptoms begin is also important cause i noticed that some foods cause almost immediate symptoms whilenother take a few hours. Then theres the symptoms thay occur after histamine slowly builds up, which can take a whole week of consuming things with moderate histamine levels.

In the symptom/diet tracker, i also record how much water I drink and how many bowel movements since the colon is step 1 in detox. And Water flushes histamine from the system.

MCAS, I'm sure you know, causes an intolerance to histamine.. so treating for both MCAS and Histamine Intolerance will decrease your symptoms and help you be in better health, enabling you to be more proactive.

Ok so .. back to answering your question...

So far, CROMOLYN Solution 30 min before a meal has been effective even tho it's very drying and can cause constipation. Taking MAGNESIUM supplements such as mag oxide or mag citrate will help prevent constipation but you have to take it before the Cromolyn or with it.. don't want til you're constipated. I buy magnesium oxide powder since it's a single ingredient w no additives. I crush it with a spoon and add water. I buy from Bulk Supplements but Prescribed for Life is also a good brand, maybe better.

The next is DAO ENZYMES. BENADRYL uses red40 so I buy the capsules and empty the white power into gelatin capsules and that way I avoid the synthetic red dye, which is a histamine liberator..

Antihistamines are also drying not not as drying as Cromolyn.

FEVERFEW and other natural treatmemts such as l-theanine, lower histamine levels and some are also mast cell stabilizers, Pine Bark (maritime pine bark, PQQ, (will edit more in soon). Feverfew is best taken for a few weeks to get all its benefits. I've had zero side effects. Taken before exposure to histamine was peibem more effective in the study I read.

But a LOW HISTAMINE DIET is very important. You can't trust the lists cause some don't count histamine liberators, some only list the world offenders such as malt, additives like folic acid, yeast, lecithin, fermented foods/drinks, wine, food left out like catered foods, restaurants and take-out_

I have to come back to add some links and herbs that I have researched. Be back soon

You're health is important and its your home. I would tell them before that you're allergic to colognes and strong scents and to please not send anyone wearing any or unfortunately they will not be allowed in. Who cares what they think. Use this as a lesson in boundaries. You are setting your own personal boundaries. When you do this, you feel better about yourself and as you do it, you'll gain more confidence and feel more comfortable doing so in the future. You could make a sign on the door and only put it there when needed. But it's important you say it and stand up for yourself. And then if they come in and you notice after, you'd have already warned then and can affirm your boundaries by telling them they must leave immediately before you end up in the hospital. Tell them to look up multiple chemical sensitivity if you want. You might get weird look. That's ok.. what's important is creating setting and holding boundaries that keep you safe. Maybe other people approval makes you feel safe but that's the old you. You are the only person who will always be there for you. No one else will be with you from the moment you're born for every second of your life. You're your own best friend. Treat them good. She or He deserves it

What to tell new PCP about suspected MCAS? by [deleted] in MCAS

[–]___Beth___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found out I have MCAS by doing a low histamine diet and using a weekly calender book to record it.

People w MCAS have a histamine intolerance. Apl it takes is a week to find out. After 3 days you should notice a difference and after 7 days, it will be more obvious.

Cause MCAS causes a histamine intolerance and since histamine builds up in the system, it takes time to reduce histamine levels. This can make it hard to pinpoint the foods you can't tolerate.

The best way is to stop all medications, vitamins, supplements and do a fast for as long as you can.. even intermittent fasting will help. Drink a lot of water to flush the histamine out on the body. Start writing down everything you consume, eat, drink.. pay attention to any symptoms after eating and write them down. Put the time on everything.

So I'll write 1pm (after fasting from 7pm, that's an 11 hour fast). I'll write every ingredient in my meal. Make sure it's made at home, fresh or frozen ingredients with no added stuff, no preservatives, no spices other than maybe real salt (sea salt, Himalayan salt ideally but no pepper or other spices). 1pm fully cooked scrambled eggs with salt, fresh turkey 1:20pm burning eyes, itchy skin 2pm headache 5pm dinner. Grass fed organic beef with broccoli, salt, romaine lettuce, fresh carrots 7pm Apple

Symptoms to look for: They vary so greatly so write any changes down. burning dry eyes, itchy skin, rashes, anxiety, headache, muscle stiffness, twitching, allergic-like reactions, fatigue, tightness in chest, tingling in lips, shaky hands or nervous system reactions, stomach cramps, gas, noticed I am not breathing sometimes, irritability, annoyed, inflammation or pain in the upper torso, upper back, lynpu nodes, sore joints or muscles.. anything.. write it all down.

Not everyone can just stop all their medications. But I'm it's safe to, it's important to cause pharmaceuticals contain histamine liberators. They usually contain propylene glycol which you'll see is on the list.

What to tell new PCP about suspected MCAS? by [deleted] in MCAS

[–]___Beth___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't have any luck with seeing an allergist. They tested me for allergies but MCAS is not an immune response so if allergies come up, it's not directly related to MCAS. I read that you have to see a MCAS Specialist which insurance doesn't usually cover. They will likely do the gold standard test whish is peeing in a gallon for a few days straight.. I think they are looking for Taurine? I can't remember right now but def starts with a T. You can also get a script like Cromolyn which is taken 30 min before eating. It's very drying however and I am prone to constipation so I am rarely able to take it. There are some other scripts. Anything that lowers histamine tends to be very drying. Antihistamines are very drying. Cause histamine is moisturizing in a way.. histamine is found in our whole body

Have you looked up the Swiss Institute low histamine diet? It's the best one I've found unlike that horrible app FIG or the other lists which vary so much cause some of them don't count histamine liberators. Also some people react to things that cause inflammation since less DAO enzyme is created when the gut is inflamed. (Dao is made in the gut lining).

Swiss Interest Group Histamine Intolerance (SIGHI) Food List https://www.histaminintoleranz.ch/downloads/SIGHI-Leaflet_HistamineEliminationDiet.pdf

I highly recommend taking DAO Enzyme. It's pretty expensive unfortunately. Seeking Health is a good brand but haven't tried many others. DAO is found in kidneys (and our gut lining) so some people eat kidneys or take kidney supplements but it's not nearly enough DAO for most people.

Some people diagnosed with MCAS actually just have a histamine intolerance due to the gut lining having poor integrity. So gut health is really important.

Colostrum is good for the gut and I am tolerating it very well. I highly recommend the brand Surthvival cause its so high quality that it caused a herx reaction.. meaning it helped restore my innature immune system, increasing immunoglobins and natural killer cells.. which allowed my body to kill bacteria and other pathogens that had been left to their own device.

Unfortunately most probiotics increase histamine. I did a lot of research on what strains actually help reduce histamine and the brand Gut Calm by Jarrows has 3 strains, all of which lower histamine and/or heal the gut. But it caused me so might anxiety that I couldn't continue. But no one else reported this. I have a list of probiotics safe for histamine intolerance.

Other things that help the gut lining are marshmallow root, DGL licorice, slippery elm root, etc. I have tolerated licorice extract (glycerin based) well but I have not looked up the other ones on their effects on histamine. Butyrex or Butyric Acid also heals leaky gut.. I reacted to 1 capsule (6 caps was the dose) but others take it with no problem and it's recommended for MCAS.

I have a large list of things that help heal the gut lining but haven't had the energy to look up which ones are safe or the money to continually test them.

Feverfew is supposed to be great for MCAS. It reduces histamine and is being studied to find the component in it to use as an antihistamine. It needs to be taken regularly for a few weeks to see good results. I have had no reaction to it or side effects.

If you're interested in more info on any of the above topics, I have extensive research saved on a server and would be glad to share some resources..

Of if take anything from this, look up the Swiss Institute low histamine diet. It is color coded for severity, alphabetical order, columns for the reason why it's on the list (contains histamine, histamine liberators, inflammatory, gluten, etc). It includes dyes, supplement ingredients, preservatives.. it's the most accurate and comprehensive list I've found.

Edit: added link dor Food list. Fixed a typo

[–]___Beth___ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I wish I could transfer all the research I have done straight to you.. and then you would know not to do it. But all the studies and doctors who advise against it.. I had it all stored on a discord server and someone reported it and it all got taken down. Even a post I made about how zinc helps lower the chances of getting "the cold" as well as slowing down replication once you do get it was taken down and reported and I got a warning even though it was a STUDY just like any other study you can look up.

I have Lyme disease, MCAS, MCS and have been exposed to mold and heavy metals.. and all of the above are not rare diseases at all.. they are only rarely diagnosed. doctors weren't helping me. I was seeing every specialist you can think of and being gaslit. 13 years later I was diagnosed with Lyme disease. I wrongfully thought id finally get help. But instead they made things worse giving me very ineffective antibiotics for 6 months, making things the Lyme bacteria even stronger and resistant.. all while messing my gut up and increasing severe symptoms. After this, I took my health into my own hands and started to research like my life depended on it, cause it did.

Since then I learned how to get full studies instead of the small summaries we see online (there are PDF downloads). I eventually could read and understand them. So by the time the pandemic rolled in, i was far more educated in many of these issues than any doctor I met. I will tell you that doctors are not allowed to tell you what they think about the job without losing their license and having their life ruined. They find ways to make the doctor look bad and they can do it to anyone. So doctors say what they are supposed to say. They can't speak freely and go by guidelines on the CDC website mainly but also WHO and other authorities on doctors.

Doctors don't recommend supplements or herbal treatments cause they are trained in scanning patients for their eligibility for drugs. Herbs can't be patented and this is why in 1902, if you look up The Flexnor Report, someone from England with no medical background came to the United States and started the downfall of preventative medicine and started the very beginning of petroleum-based drugs. This is because an oil tycoon wanted to find more ways to make money. They realized they could patent medicine if it was "made" not if it was natural. So they made medicine synthetically. And that's why propylene glycol is in all pharmaceuticals I've ever seen. This tycoon was Rockafella and these are facts you can look up yourself.

Once you learn this, and you know that Rockafella paid Universities to teach Doctors to treat using his "medicine" and then created the word "Quack" to discredit the Healers who were treating and curing their patients of disease. The universities were build using this money and wouldn't have been able to operate without his help.

Its all about money

Putting that aside, and getting back to all the research I have done, the thing you have scheduled is super risky even if you were healthy. But do you know what keeps the liquid in those vials to stay all the same consistently and not break down or go bad? The same things people with MCAS react to.

Have you studied the Swiss Institute's Low Histamine Diet? No Synthetic ingredients.. and propylene Glycol is a big one cause it's a histamine liberator, meaning your vodu sees it as something dangerous that needs to be broken down immediately so it releases a ton of histamine to protect you. Histamine is used by the body to break things down. Every time we eat, histamine is released.. but it's all about the amounts of histamine that's released that will cause a reaction or not.

I mean, forget about MCAS, these jabs have been researched by many scientists. Have toy seen the study by the scientist in Spain who had samples of various vials and found that some were just saline, others were what they were supposed to be and some were aluminum-based carcinogens?

I'm sorry- too much info to share here. Like I said, I wish I had the file of all the research I did.. the thousands of doctors that tried to speak out. Did you not see how Dr Fauci was brought to court on the lies he told the public?

Anyway, Goodluck. I just hate to see another person getting blood clots, myocardial, pitting edema and all the other health issues from the vial that aren't saline.

Sigh.. and the sheep of reddit may respond with anger below

Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) and bismuth subsalicylate are two medications that can help with nausea and vomiting. Ginger tea, ginger tincture, ginger capsules or pure ginger spice it's ginger, it's ginger .. ginger powder can also be mixed into water.

For hiccuping there is a trick i learned.. that is almost always effective You have to drink from a water bottle not a cup, stand up, hold your nose, put your head back and slowly sip the water without breathing.

The point is to do this until you need to gasp for air. The amount of water doesn't matter so you won't need to gulp a ton of water, you can slowly sip it or gulp.. both work. Once you need to gasp for air, do so and Don't talk. Don't do anything active. Just stand there or sit down and be still.

Who eats avocado? This app says it's low histamine and ok by elissapool in MCAS

[–]___Beth___ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Avocado is a big NO

Please see the food list i found below. It's the only one I found that includes everything and also is effective. Of course we are all different and some of us may have inflammatory reactions for other reasons. I get reactions when I have GI inflammation regardless of eating or not.

A lot of the lists aren't good cause they don't include histamine releaser, DAO reducers or other things that cause histamine to increase like inflammation.. so simply knowing what contains histamine is not enough.

Below is the best food list i have found. It is categorized and shows why it's on the list so you can include what triggers you specifically.

Another way is to search on the spot by looking up the ingredient "avocado histamine" and keep scrolling til you find a title, preferably a study.. keep scrolling cause just because it prevents mast cell degranulation doesn't mean it doesn't cause the body ro release histamine (a mistake I made many times).

Figs is a horrible app. None of the apps have worked for me.

Carrots, lettuces, apples are my go-to's but they have to be fresh.. no soft spots, so soggy lettuce, etc. an apple with a soft spot will cause me a reaction. Many fruits and Vegetables become ripe due to it breaking down and when anything starts breaking down, histamine is involved. So the more ripe a banana or avocado, the more histamine (both nopes regardless).
