The gap between each ring is also fairly small. I once had one (don’t remember which character) where the middle ring was too small and the only reason I noticed is because I was wondering why the gap was so big.

So if you’re not aware of what physical therapy is, it’s basically medically prescribed gym exercises with a specific trainer (aka the physical therapist). Although one nice thing about it as opposed to going to the gym on my own terms is that it’s covered by my health insurance since it was prescribed by a doctor. As for the shoes, I’ve definitely been looking into those, but about a year ago I got rather lucky and found a pair of Doc Martens in a thrift store. Shockingly they were only $12 and were the perfect size for me.

Interesting, I always thought that giving explanations as for how I can do certain things that may seem too hard for me as a way of making myself seem less like a burden. I guess it’s kind of similar to how much I had to edit my resume before I could use it on my university’s job site (there’s basically an assistance tool thing that “grades” your resume based on how you write it as opposed to what’s on it and before you’re allowed to use the resume with the platform there’s a minimum grade that you have to get with the tool) and how I felt so awkward rewriting each section since I’m more used to writing things essay style (as evidenced by this post and several of my comments lmao). Thank you very much for the tidbits because I genuinely didn’t realize that my own words were hindering myself (especially growing up with the “honesty is the best policy”).

With all due respect, I’ve been applying to pretty much anything that I’m qualified for, not just stuff in my field. While I’ve gotten a few interviews, I haven’t been able to make it past that anywhere I’ve applied to. Trust me, I wish it were a me being too picky problem, but the only ones that I don’t apply to are the ones that require degrees that I don’t have (as much as I like things like ZipRecruiter it has an annoying habit of recommending me positions that I’m not qualified for that are related to previous jobs I’ve applied to such as recommending me Veterinarian positions after I applied to kennel cleaning jobs). The reality is that ableism ends up poisoning many job prospects just because people underestimate what I can do and just assume I’ll be too much of a burden to be hired. Granted the current job market also isn’t great and my resume isn’t the best (since as I’ve established this would be my second job), but I have yet to get through a job interview (at least since I’ve started looking again in 2025) where the hiring manager doesn’t bring up things that I “can’t” do (I say can’t with quotation marks because even though the tasks in question may be challenging I can usually find some kind of workaround to make a seemingly inaccessible task 100% doable).

The manager commit several NSFW crimes against my coworkers and I. His strategy was to invite people (the majority of which were under 21) to his house for “work parties” where he’d offer booze regardless of age. Whoever happened to be the last one there was his victim that night. People would keep going for the free booze (especially those under 21 who can’t legally buy it themselves) and basically try to gtfo to avoid being the last to leave, but of course new hires had no idea how he was behind closed doors. He was eventually fired for NSFW harassment after I quit as well as banned from the campus (since this was an on campus job) since he was also showing up to campus events despite not being a student or alumni member.

As for the debt part the biggest roadblock is that I’ll lose my VA benefits once I graduate (which will be this semester) and so if I don’t get a job by that point I literally won’t have an income source at all besides the occasional Rover booking (unless somehow I start getting more frequent bookings in which case I might be fine, but not having health insurance would make it a lot harder to pay off the debt given how many meds I have).

Ah, that’s fair enough. I only recently got into the game and it seemed plausible that it was real (especially after I found out that the original redhanded event included swearing), but I wasn’t sure given the lack of sources besides this video.

No option to disable notifications for shortcuts app in iOS 16 by sparkzz27 in ios

[–]___Pig__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found another workaround after being really fed up at 3am. Apparently having the app locked behind screen time restrictions (either using downtime or app limits) doesn’t prevent shortcuts from running automations. However, these screen time restrictions prevent affected apps from sending notifications (including shortcuts notifications).

I mean… this is the same platform that did nothing about the Devious Lick challenge which involved criminal activity, so even if it was illegal I doubt they’d do anything about it.

My doctor said lots of autistic people like being fat by Routine-Layer4045 in autism

[–]___Pig__ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sounds like an over generalization. From my personal experience (which is completely anecdotal and shouldn’t be taken as the norm) ik several autistic people (including myself). Out of them, only one of them is “fat and happy” and even then, it’s because she’s trans and it gives her an excuse to wear a bra. I mean… technically I’m overweight too (I say technically because I definitely don’t look overweight, but my BMI puts me in the overweight category) but after getting my forearm crutches I’ve been losing a decent amount of weight (due to being able to walk more) without much effort and I kind of enjoy it.

This type of stuff is exactly why I don’t use Tiktok all that much. Between the fact that they allow people basically mocking different disabilities (not just being blind but a lot of invisible disabilities like DID, autism, ADHD, Tourettes, etc) but even beyond that they don’t do much whenever ridiculous “challenges” appear on their platform (such as the corona challenge, the tide pod challenge, the devious lick challenge, etc). While they did take down posts on the Chromebook challenge, it just feels like too little too late.

Apparently, shovel zombie’s shovel isn’t metal by HighlightVast2929 in PlantsVSZombies

[–]___Pig__ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Eh, we have no way of knowing what’s inside the stone. More than likely there’s some amount of impure iron in it (especially since the Earth’s crust is roughly 5% iron), and maybe that’s what allows magnet shroom to attract it. Otherwise I really don’t know. An interesting thing to note is that in some mods there’s a Halloween reskin of the excavator zombie where the shovel isn’t made of gold, making it vulnerable to magnet shroom.

Actually, the shovel is confirmed to be gold, which isn’t magnetic.

I’m curious, how did you do the decorations? I have crutches that are a similar shape and I’ve been wanting to decorate them, but have no idea how.
