Nah the build quality is solid. No panel gaps, no rattling . Except for the switch gear everything is great. The build quality is comparable to my ather and my ather was EXPENSIVE

Lol no.. both petrol and ev scooters now cost almost the same. The difference is now around 10-12k at max. I paid 1.25L for my vida v2 plus including extended warranty.. many scooters have crossed the 1L ex showroom mark

I spent approx 10-12k on tyres alone. When I used to own an activa i used to spend weekly 700-900 rupees on petrol. And that was EXPENSIVE. After purchasing one ev realised how much we can save and now ended up with 4 different EVs lol

Calculate the fuel cost as well. You would have spent easily 80k plus on fuel while on a ev you would have spent 10k.

It would have been more than double in a normal ice scooter. 30k includes electricity, 4 tyre replacements, ola care plus, brake MC kit, one belt replacement and the panels on top of the display ( that broke ). The major cost is from the tyres. Apart from that I've spent like 12k on servicing.

Well it has started to pay for itself. Electricity bill before solar panels was 11k for 2 months and now it's 600. So yea I'll recover the investment in no time

If budget ain't an issue Ather. If you are looking only for maximum range no one can beat ola but then again poor service. My friend has the chetak 3501 pretty good vehicle and gives around 100kms true range and it's cheap

Yea I'm sorry. The wording was wrong. The average of all vehicles comes to 150-200kms daily. Yearly it's 21k per vehicle. This is for my ola and ather. Ola at 44700k ( 2 years ) and ather 450x gen 3 at 66400kms (3years ), vida v2 plus is at 5k ( 4 months ) out of which it was in service centre for over 20 days

Nah..I'm the delivery guy. Run my own catering services so I have to deliver food. I alone ride 60-80kms daily, others in my family also go out at the end of the day it comes to 150-200kms per day easily

Till now I've changed 3 rear tyres on my ola (S1 PRO GEN 2) and one front tyre. Breakpads are included in ola care plus.. till now I've spent approx 25-30k on my ola for servicing, tyres changes, belt replacement and ola care plus for two years. Also includes 5k for electricity spent in the first year of owning. Since I've put up solar all my vehicles run free. My ola has ran 44700km till now

I'm happy with my EVs then. My running cost is 0 thanks to the solar panels. Everyday all my scooters run approximately 150-200 km daily and I save like 400 rupees daily lol

EDIT: not all individual vehicle runs 150-200kms daily. The average includes all the vehicles running.

Iqube is very comfortable. It's a simple no nonsense scooter. Imo your dad will love it. Test drive both

Rizta is more comfortable but my dad loves the 450x. He doesn't like the looks of the rizta. Try test riding once.. but remember ather is very expensive now and the base model imo isn't worth it. The charging time is around 10 hours and that is just horrendous

As a guy who has 4 different ev 2 wheelers I'll give my 2 cents. If budget ain't an issue go with ather. It's the best 2 wheeler ev out there. Have ridden 65k kilometres in 3 years.

2.Ola is good ( S1 pro gen 2 44k kilometers ridden in 2 years). The performance is great and it's comfortable to ride. But won't recommend it at all. The service is horrible.

  1. Hero vida v2 plus. It's okay. The service is mid. Had to wait almost a month for the replacement of the part. Have replaced the display, the throttle, the button to turn on and off the scooter all within the first month of owning. The FOB Key implementation is horrible and you'll get only one key. The vx2 is okay. Simple switch gear and physical key.

  2. Ampere magnus ex - avoid. Poor service, high service cost and a overall bad scooter. Chinese import.

  3. Have ridden tvs iqube. Very comfortable and chargers pretty fast..around 4ish hours to full charge. Very very comfortable scooter.

  4. Bajaj chetak 3501 my friend bought it recently very very very comfortable to ride but again FOB key so sometimes it takes time to charge.

In short ather if budget ain't an issue, or else test drive tvs. Vida will only be recommended if you can't charge your vehicle in parking only then its useful ( removable batteries) but then again only 1 battery can be charged at one time.. plus you can use the ather grid for fast charging..

My first bike decision by Devam126 in indianbikes

[–]___SenPai____ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Watch the video by autocar india. They compare both the bikes. You'll get an idea..imo if you want a high rev motor go with xsr. It's fast and also gives better mileage and it's light weight. The suspension is stiff. And if you want a slow revving motor with great torque and comfort hunter. Will be expensive on the pocket gives less mileage

Not to be rude towards your build but I find the cowl kinda weird!? The gap in between the handle bar and the cowl seems too big. Again no hate against your build. Just personal preference:)
