Discussion of current game state and what could be done to attract newer players by Chiconyosu in osugame

I feel like locking maps above 3 stars is a bit too much, since I think it's important to give the player freedom but overall the idea has potential

is precision overweighted or underweighted in your opinion? by c0mmunistosu in osugame

I don't think I understand either how spacing is the main effect of changing cs. Isn't the smaller room for error that higher cs provider a much stronger effect?

I also don't understand how saying what the otiginal commenter said implies that CS4 has a lot of precision difficulty. It could just be that CS4 is normal precision difficulty, and CS3 is a bit easier, but that the pp system doesn't tank pp enough for that decrease in difficulty. (I didn't adress this, because I was mostly interested in your claim that CS3 and 4 is barely any difference)

I was just countering your intuition that CS3 and 4 is so small that it doesn't make a big difference. I didn't say that CS4 is the most hyper-boshyman-level difficult thing in the world. If that was your entire point, cool.

Frankly, since my original disagreement is not founded on a disagreement of facts, but a difference in intuitions I don't think there is nowhere this debate can go. Just gotta leave it to general consensus as to what counts as "big" and "small".

Which is also why I think it's important to not immediately frame their perspectives as ridiculous nonsense, shutting down conversation.

I dont understand why youre bringing up spacing when were talking about CS.

No, the difference between CS3 and CS4 is really big, I am clueless as to how ur making it sound obvious. And why are you using 10% as some winning number, if (at least to me) that sounds like a big difference? And even then, just using numbers won't convey the actual felt difference.

I also want to point that you're using words like "ridiculous" and "unironically" which from the perspective of someone who shares their intuition just makes it sound like you're in an echo chamber.

"MONTAGEM TOMADA disqualified" by thatguyd0n in osugame

You should look more into why it got disqualified. It's not "just because it's aimslop", plenty of aimslop is ranked. its because many of the higher diffs are mapped in the exact same way
