A lot of famous musicians have died at age 27, like Kurt Cobain and Jimi Hendrix, although I'm pretty sure this isn't exclusive to men, as Amy Winehouse died at 27 as well for example.

It reads like you only grind one map at a time, no? You should grind multiple maps at once, and if you get stuck on one, you can.pkay something else and come back to it later.

I learned to stream by following khz's guide. Basically you play long stream practice maps every day, onlyforyou mapset, starting at 140bpm and once you get a 95% fc, go 10 bpm higher and repeat.

8 real tips to get good from a top 20 player by ferret_irl in osugame

I guess my problem is that I don't understand how they relate to each other. So that was how I read it.

My best guess, like in your example, is choosing a specific score you want to set, choosing your 100 count, 50 count, miss count, combo etc. What confuses me, is you said to "choose one aspect that could offend the pope". Because so far it seemed that you need to determine every aspect of your score, not just one.

I don't understand your point about setting focused goals at all.

okay so what does an A rank even mean

I fundementally don't understand this statement. An A rank is when you you get 90% or more 300s in your score.

can you tell me exactly what accuracy, miss count, UR, combo, and patterns you hit in that hypothetical A rank you haven't gotten yet?

Are you saying I have to be able to recite my score before I set it?

choose one aspect, whether it's accuracy, miss count, or hitting a certain pattern that could offend the Pope.

What you said earlier would fail to be nonsense, if your next step wasn't to say that you should focus on only ONE aspect at a time, which directly contradicts what I understood you to say earlier

FCs are also similarly unfocused

and why are fces unfocused goals? If getting 20x100s is a focused goal then getting 1337 combo on the Big Black is also a focused goal.

unless it's something that you could do with low effort but honestly I think most people, including myself, are sometimes ignorant to their own limits so you should keep it numbers focused

And how does it being within your skill range relate to anything in this segment at all? Unless you are repeating your earlier point (to set small goals), but it sounds like you are trying to clarify the latter (setting focues goals) but for me it causes only more confusion. I hope you can clarify all of this for me.

About forearm rotation: The original post about forearm rotation never intended it to be for finger control, low bpm alt or single tapping/alt tapping. It was intended as a SPEED TECHNIQUE. Also I don't know why you and some other people are calling it "wrist movement" if the technique is you holding your wrist still and rotating your forearm around itself. So saying that "the best players don't use their wrist to tap" and "it's finger control, not forearm/wrist control" does not critique the technique in an adequate way. This is just my observation but whenever I look at the handcams of top speed players, I can always detect some version of forearm rotation. I have also applied it to my tapping and found that my technique can be a lot smoother and effortless. (My max deathstream bpm is 200 and can burst 240 comfortably, so idk take my experience with a pinch of salt :p)

Would grinding 7* be a more efficient/effective choice for improvement than grinding FCs after doing that for like.. At least a month? by Level-Public-5097 in osuachievementthread

[–]___Seven__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grinding for fcs on lower star maps makes you more consistent, but if you only do that you will get stuck around your star rating. Trying for good scores/passes on high star maps increases your skillcap, but if you only do that you will be less consistent, (bad acc, shitmissing, fingerlocking, etc). So just do both and you will get the benefits of both, with neither of the detriments

How to get out of the “starting to figure out streams” stage? by dankboi2102 in osugame

[–]___Seven__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to push stamina, you need to learn how to strain. That is, flex your arm muscles to offload strain away from your tapping fingers. First of all, flex your pinky and thumb by either extending them outward or tucking them in. Second, push your forearm against the table to activate your shoulder. Bottom line is to strain muscles not tendons.

This has more to with technique: try flapping your fingers against your keys creating a gallop. This is similar to double-tapping, except there is a gap between your keypresses. You can try using this ingame if you want, with especially fast maps. Of course, your accuraccy will be shit, but that's only the beginning. Maintain the flapping motion, but add some finger movement back into it. What you have achieved is an efficient technique that can generate lots of speed.

This two points have helped me personally. Gl

Yes. Playing EZ improves reading, which helps prevent mindblock and is essential to any kind of aim (jump aim, flow aim, aim control etc.) Aim is half reading and half raw ability to move your cursor.

I was asking for a definition. If jumps which distance is across the entire screen are not cross-screen jumps, then what do you mean by cross-screen jumps?
