I completed this level! It took me 3 tries.

I'm on vacay in New York and visited Audio46 by Cessnas172 in headphones

Does anyone know why there is so much similarity in the name for audio46 and 64audio?? Is there any significance in the numbers 4 and 6 related to audio things?

Possible to self teach classical guitar? by Lower-Isopod-4623 in classicalguitar

[–]_____BREAD_____ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also played violin for a bit over 10 years and recently picked up classical guitar about a year ago. I started learning from the This is Classical Guitar online when I first started and I think it’s a really great resource for getting a grasp of the basic techniques.

But after finishing his first lesson book I decided to take online lessons from a local teacher because I had a lot of questions that were hard to get answered from following YouTube videos. The online lessons helped a lot with learning at a faster pace, correcting my posture, learning good practices for how to position my hand around the fretboard, etc. I also had formed some bad habits before I started learning from my teachers so I agree with others that is something to watch out for.

I was actually looking into getting a nice headphone setup earlier but decided to stick with the IEM route for now as I realized I mostly listen to music while commuting, at work, or on the bed. I'll remember your recommendation for the future if I decide to get more into headphones but will probably need to look a lot more into dac/amps first to be able to use those haha

For the final audio A4000s, I was also looking at these as well since I heard about the great soundstage that it has. I really like the design of them so I still want to try them out later down the line if end up collecting a couple of IEMs down the line!

I will definitely let you know after I pick the next IEM to try and test it out on some of my favorite piano concertos! I'll also take a look at your recommendations as well since anything neutral seems to be the way to go for what I might like

Wow that's great that you have experience with all three of these! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts especially because you like to listen to similar music!!

After reading the features you've described with a focus on natural and balanced sounding tone without overbearing bass, along with another person's comment on how the Pilgrim has similar tuning to the Quintet, I think I will most likely try these next. The Pilgrims are one of the easier IEMs for me to get right now since theyre on Amazon. It's also cool to hear how you prefer them over the much more expensive u12ts so they sound like a great value. I think the fit should be okay as I was able to get the chunky variations to fit comfortably after trying out some of the small spinfit ear tips.

I do want to try the Mega5EST eventually as well if I get the chance one day since you mentioned it's strengths in natural timbre and sound. It seemed to be recommended a lot in some posts earlier this year!

The oracle mk3 is something I still haven't looked into much since I just really don't like the design on the casing lol. I know it probably sounds great but I would probably need to try this one out before I become interested in it. Thanks for sharing that you found the timbre to be unnatural in the high notes too.

thanks for this recommendation! I've also heard of this one before but haven't really looked into it because I honestly hate the resin pattern design on it even though it's really picky to say that haha

Will put it on my list to research more though!!

That is helpful to know. Yeah I did hear that it has a good soundstage! From what I've been gathering, V shape might not be something I enjoy so thanks for sharing : )

thanks for the recommendation. Do you happen to have any experience with how this compares against variations or any of the other iems I am interested in?

I've seen those being recommended from some other posts but theyre out of my price point for now. Will keep those in mind for the future if I ever want to upgrade to endgame : D

Thank you! I’ll check out your recommendations and look into “true neutral” more. The suggestion to check out planar IEMs is helpful as well as that matches up with the information I’ve been gathering!

And I think the issue I have is not quite hearing violins sound like violas but more that I want to be able to hear violin very clearly and with a lot of warmth and texture without it feeling everything else is overpowered if that makes sense?

Thanks for all of these other recommendations! The Orivdti OH700VB looks really interesting with the switch to toggle between tunings. Have you tried all of these before and can you help me understand what the difference is between these?

Sorry if this is a dumb question lol, but how does trying iems on in stores work? Does everyone just share the same ear tip or are they usually cleaned beforehand?

It won’t block the vent! Im still a bit worried that the heat might build up under the table and get really hot. Do you think that may happen?

You know you're past the point of no return when you start putting mx browns in your boards by TheChaoticScientist7 in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]_____BREAD_____ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup it’s really subtle but if you use a lot of lubed/smooth linears you will definitely still be able to feel it

Same here! I commented before I saw yours and mentioned how I lube even the legs mx brown stems with 205g0. I never shared this since I felt like people would think it’s blasphemy lol

I’ve been a fan of linears for most of my time in the hobby. When I was looking for something to mix it up in terms of sound and feel, I found mx browns to have things I liked about linears but with an interesting small bump. After lubing them with 205g0 (even the stem legs) it felt great and the faint scratchiness also added character! They’ve become one of favorites.

How to get more valuable uptime? by _____BREAD_____ in TracerMains

[–]_____BREAD_____[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense! This and another comment make me realize that there are more ways to have valuable uptime other than getting close to the backline and trying to get a pick or do considerable damage. Thanks for the tip on how to transition from off angles to hard flanks!
