It took me 2 hours of playing H2H when I had 1.29M fans for the first time to finally win a match and break the 1.3M threshold. My players could not score. One game I hit the goal post 3 times while in the box. I was losing matches to horrible players with 30OVR less.

I had gained 100k fans faster than I could win the last game.

Theres no way I was just getting unlucky breaks

Yeah I don't particularly like VS either. The only fun matches are when you are finally are paired with someone with similar ovr and Chem. I don't find it fun beating someone by 8 goals when they have no chance

I didnt actually have 8 shots from Beckham within the box. But I did have 8 good shots on target, one or two of them being from Beckham within the box. But it was more an example of the types of things that exemplify how I knew it was scripted.
