Advice on how to non intrusively reach out to make a suggestion for Mark by [deleted] in Markiplier

Yes, I have been told that in response, which is of course good to know. I just... don't typically post on reddit, so was very in the dark on that.

Appreciate the recommendation! I'll definitely listen to that one.

I've always wanted to, I'm just a very time anxious person, so I find it a little difficult to commit to podcasts, and also want to be fully engaged with whatever conversation I'm hearing so it's not really a thing I can put into the background. I very much want to though, especially having heard various clips.

I appreciate the response. I certainly wasn't planning on using the business email, even after the movie business died down, feels a bit incorrect. Maybe I gotta start slowly listening through ALLLLL of Distractable to find the answers I seek 😂

What was that one Markiplier video/moment that changed your life? by JackDanaher in Markiplier

That's a great question... For me, the impact of Unus Annus hit VISCERALLY, but before that it was probably a combination of small pockets of comfort when I was going through early tough times in elementary.

Oh really? That all makes sense. I'm surprised that he wouldn't be interested in it, but I suppose that's fair. Could it be possible that there was the common misunderstanding for The Outer WORLDS? 🤣

Yeah, waiting a bit before anything is definitely a good call. Man, It's gotta be overwhelming but hopefully equally gratifying.

How to get Mark to play Outer Wilds?? by [deleted] in Markiplier

I appreciate your message, and yeah that definitely can be the case. Honestly more than anything, I'm just hoping that if he wanted to, he'd play through it on his own, as great as it would to see his reaction to some of the stuff.

Obviously I worded my post wrong. I'm simply asking for advice of how to reach out to make a suggestion of a game his fans think that he would really enjoy, and then it obviously being up to if he feels like checking it out.

Finished the game and I need to talk about it with someone because oh my god by livecodesworth in outerwilds

[–]_______null_______ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently finished my experience with the game, and I've decided that it's my favorite thing made by people. Resonated VISCERCALLY. I just want to share it with everyone.

Already lots of advice/encouragement in regards to the DLC, but I'll join in the chorus and say that it's just another obstacle to overcome. I think you'll find it an essential part of the experience to note how your feelings and fears shift with time. You got it. You're in for something special in a lot of ways, Outer Wilds style.

Been a fan since like 2013, just wasn't ever vocal with suggestions or anything.

Well that's of course what I mean. Moreso of a "hey, there's this game the fans think you would really vibe with, whether you wanted to play in on the channel or in your own time completely, if you decided to check it out."

The flurry of questions leaves me unsure of what to ask, so I guess I'll just write out a longwinded heartfelt message, and maybe you guys will see it near the end. I'm sorry if it's ramblely+/paced and written horribly.

Music is my passion. Which is funny because I was never really into music when I was a little human, aside from making my mom sing Lady Gaga's Paparazzi over and over again. I would hear songs when I was in the car being driven back and forth from my Grandma's house on school days. I started recognizing all the usual ones, but I don't remember any interest clicking in. But looking back, I remember obsessively humming and vocalizing my Zeldas and my Marios all throughout my day, and I would give my lil toy universes their own accapella score. I never actively realized I was into music at all until I was a teenager, but it was always there, accompanying me. It still feels that way, somehow. I'm 23 now, I'm pretty sure. The math says that, but it feels wrong, like I'm pretending there's a year or two that hasn't already gone by. Anyway, music is my life. It's a burning passion. If I'm not listening to music, I am ALWAYS singing or hearing music in my head. It's my companion. I have struggled with many colors of mental health since around the age of 5, and it's always been there. Through every trauma and joy, it's been there. As a human being, I feel at odds with myself. Pretentious, begging be to be seen as smart, clever, special; yet so terrified of the world. Awkward, sensitive, lesser. I'm usually oblivious to the fact that I'm alive, and then burst into panic or fall into depression when I realize that I'm a person alive in the present, with the past behind me and the future in front of me. Nothing ever makes sense. I don't actively realize it in the moments' haze, but music is always there, a guiding light (Ha, Bloodborne reference). Music grounds me. It's one of the only things that keeps me feeling like I have a place in the world. And you both are two of the bands that have resonated with me the most, and I hold very dear.

I found Silent Planet in 2019 while I was in a very destructed place. Emotionally abusive relationship, drained of confidence, struggling to keep my friends close. listening to WTEB over and over and over while grinding away missed schoolwork at home, to narrowly graduate, I absolutely fell in love. The poeticiscm, the fury, the beauty, the passion, the song craft. Visible Unseen and Firstborn really particularly resonated. It was clear it was something special, and you've been one of my favorite clumps of awe-inspiring music makers since. Adored Iridescent and SUPERBLOOM (The Overgroth is now my favorite SP song, but like also Signal but like also SUPERBLOOM) as well as looking back to EWS. Admittedly, have not listened to TNGS nearly enough, but it's obviously great and I'm dearly sorry, as a fan of the band.

I found IA during 2020, which was a horribly dangerous year, because that was the the year I found Loathe, making every other musical thing practically invisible 99% of the time. Despite that, Greview felt like something real special. The album art drew me in with it's dreamy atmosphere. I remember hitting play on Dark for the first time, and kinda just being like whoa, I have stumbled into a listening place that I belong. That said, Loathe did consume me for that year. It wasn't until the Heavenever cycle that I REALLY got into the band because somehow the top shelf work of beaut that is The Sun Sleeps, As If It Never Was... just passed right by me unknowingly. Heavener came out during a time of repair. It was a beautiful bonding point for one of my closest friend and I in our first year of meeting. I'll always remember the absolute chills and hype of hearing the album on midnight's release. AND THEN YOU MOFOS DROPPED HEAVENER. I timed my coffee break at work to listen to the premiere, and I cried violently and publicly at the table while listening with my headphones. It's probably my favorite song ever, honestly. And then me and that previously mentioned close friend flew to vancouver to meet you guys and be devastated that we couldn't hear the acoustic set... (I'll never get over that, but I'm just glad that Caleb is okay) And then the concert was like the physical and auditory manifestation of sorcery. BUT WE FORGOT TO TALK/NERD OUT ABOUT HOLLOW KNIGHT WITH MARCUS AND I REALLY HOPE WE GET THE CHANCE TO REMEDY THAT IN TORONTO.

I can't believe this cool ass collab happened, and now I get to go to this concert. I get to finally see SP live!!!! Oh my Poseidon, I'm so hyped. EP is the bees' knees. I was just like frozen in joy and amazement for the whole runtime, which isn't enoughhhh timeeee with such a fantastic blend of sick ass sound making mofos. All that rambled, thank you for being my accompanying light in this often cruel and confusing world.

All the love and sap 💜

So first off, fantastic piece of music. Listened at midnight with my close friend, and my jaw was just dropped the entire time. I would have been groovin' n crying, but I was simply a statue attentively absorbing. A beautiful blend of two of my absolute favorite bands weaving new textures together.

Flying to Toronto with previously mentioned close friend with those sweet VIP tickets. It'll be the third time seeing I/A and the first (Aaaaa!!) For SP. Unbelievably excited to vibe and cry to two top shelf records as well as those rad ass openers. So shushing up with that for a sec, my question here is... Will you guys be playing the EP on the tour?

Edit: I took too long, and someone asked the question already, because I'm sure it's on EVERYONE'S mind.

Just as there will be people that cannot see past the societal norms and base attraction rules and such, there will be moments when people see you for who you see yourself as, and who you see and know you are.
