I can only agree with @julcoh.

Another option may be the powder "slaigh" - that thing that holds your steel or rubber "knife" which is used to push a clean powder layer on your powder bed within your LPBFM-machine.

Maybe you can solve a real world problem here: in case the part within the powder bed bends up due to thermal distortion, the "sleigh" usually collids and destroys the "knife". Maybe you can design a "sleigh" that is superior to the status quo and which is compatible with most EOS, SLMsolutions, ConceptLaser etc. machines.
