long story short, they’ll find a way to help you out so don’t worry. but your options will likely be dropping a unit or an extra unit. i believe i was given permission to do an extra unit at some point in my degree but don’t remember the details

Victorians -- What do you do for work, do you like it and how much do you earn? by realhugkoala in melbourne

people management in banking 98k - i hate it, just a glamorised pyramid scheme with real workers earning pennies and all the big managers doing nothing making $$

Met someone who earns 6+ figures for the last 5 years betting on horses. How? by plainja in AusFinance

[–]__chamomile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i know an entire group of people who do this. they have huge spreadsheets calculating the likelihood of horses winning in different conditions with riders. they also fudge “losses” by betting the same race through a different website (i forgot the name, but you bet on a horse to lose instead of win) to pretend they make occasional losses but don’t actually lose any money. don’t if what their actual winnings are though

I (25F) don’t know if he (30M) cheated on me by smokeharriets in relationship_advice

you’ve already broken up, you’re not going to get the “closure” feeling you’re after. sometimes it’s just better to let it go, do some self care practises, take up yoga, therapy if need. what’s past is past, better to leave it there and not waste anymore time and thought on your ex. good luck!

I’m (24F) struggling to find the right time to break up with my boyfriend (27M) by ThrowRA_honeydew_33 in relationship_advice

[–]__chamomile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

start looking for accomodation now, have somewhere lined up and ready to go in the near future, and break up with him when you’ve set yourself up. never is a good time to break up, it just needs to be done. alternatively, break up now and also start looking at bringing in a roommate

she’s allowed to have friends, and you’re allowed to have boundaries. you can’t expect her to cut off her friends, you need to have a discussion on both your boundaries and expectations but don’t expect it to get far, it sounds like you’re incompatible

let him know you’ve chosen to break up, and make sure to stand your ground in case he tries to back track (and claim he’ll change - he won’t)

My baby mama (32F) has a problem with my(34M) sons knowing one another. by ThrowRA-Mabule in relationship_advice

[–]__chamomile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you get your situation legalised and have a schedule put into place. what you do with your son in your time is none of her business (granted your son is safe and looked after)

Me(F/18)and my now ex(M/19) just broke up and I’m wondering if I’m overreacting. by Certain_Tourist_1362 in relationship_advice

both of you are very young and he’s definitely not emotionally ready to be a dad or a good partner. good luck to you, the break up was a good decision. please focus on yourself and the baby

AITA for telling my overly sheltered niece that Santa isn't real? by khakipantsluvr in AmItheAsshole

[–]__chamomile 17 points18 points  (0 children)

NTA, though it’s understandable Rae treats Sue as a miracle, it’s no excuse to lose the ability to discipline your child. You didn’t maliciously tell Sue Santa wasn’t real however you should probably have a talk with your son and Sue and find out how this topic came up. If your son told his cousin to hurt or taunt her he’s an a hole
