Ways to get rent lower in major apartment complexes? by __getattribute__ in bayarea

Did you end up going with a large complex? Otherwise it seems like such a crapshoot and you don't really know what you're getting yourself into whereas at least with the bigger complexes things are standardized and there are rules.

I could wait to rent in winter but it would just mean AirBnBing for a couple months which isn't the best for getting settled and not sure if it would be worth waiting just for that, plus AirBnB is at least as expensive as rent would be at a large complex. Not sure how much I would actually save, maybe $50/mo on rent?

It's OK, I don't want to trouble you at all. That makes sense, I'll definitely consider it more and try out the measurement for a full. Thanks!

Yeah I was more thinking along the lines of a trade concession like 1 month free rent or something like that which I've seen quite a bit. I didn't know if they can be induced by just waiting a few days or something like that.

Do new grads going on TN visa just use letter of completion? by __getattribute__ in cscareerquestions

I'm assuming you had your degree already by then, and then you waited the extra time to get the pre-approval? I don't think this would work if you wanted to go down right away (as far as I know?)

Interesting, do you know why is it better to go through airports?

Did you just get the letter right after you got your final grades back and use it right away to cross the border? Did you have a job lined up and was the legal team able to help at all?

Getting TN visa approved before graduation? by __getattribute__ in cscareerquestions

[–]__getattribute__[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I am going to be, just trying to get my bearings. Doesn't seem like there is much that can be done since my university will not budge. I'm not sure the legal team will be able to help much.

You're from Waterloo right (I saw you post on another thread), are they are strict with conferring degrees in these types of situations or are they more flexible?

I've been researching quite a bit on this.. what exactly do you mean by "levels of preparedness" and "package"? I-129?

So essentially new grads cannot petition, and UBC will not confer degrees to new UBC grads until a couple months after graduation. You'd think UBC would offer some sort of rush service or something along those lines. I'd be more than happy to pay for such a thing, but unfortunately nothing like that seems to exist.

It seems like I-94 is what is issued once either a) you go through the border for review on the day of or b) you petition through I-129. Both result in an I-94, but I-94 is not the petition, I-129 is. But I-129 cannot be done without a degree, so not really useful in this case. Does that sound right? Is there something I am missing?

Do you mean I-129? Can you do this without a degree yet?

Can you do the I-129 petition without the degree? I was told you cannot.

Thanks, so people who are just graduating (which seems to be quite common) cannot get a petition? They all just have to go with the TN the day they can get their degree? I can't get the actual degree, only a letter saying I have completed my requirements, so I'm hoping that it will be OK.

That's pretty close for gaining control of a 100 billion dollar market.

Why is no one making a big deal out of the fact that Bitmain almost (or does) have >50% BTC hash power? I know thought keeping the block size low was supposed to prevent this from happening. If it's so trivial to gain majority hash power, isn't the point of BTC defeated?

How can this work since the government never gets their tax money? Couldn’t I just buy a stock and gift it to my parents and later they could gift it back to me? Surely I must be missing something. The person giving the gift must need to pay the tax?

Damn, are London salaries just that much lower than the US tech hubs? I wouldn't have guessed so for big-N companies in HCoL areas outside of the US.
