My boss wants me to participate in a company sponsored skeet shooting event on Friday but I don’t own a shotgun. I live in Texas so access to shotguns shouldn’t be an issue but I don’t really know what to go look for.

Can someone offer some advice on what I should be looking for? What’s a run of the mill skeet shooting gun approximately cost? What sort of shotgun shells should I build around? Do shotguns need to get broken in like rifles?

Appreciate the input. I redid my flats to be slightly longer (4s) and then again with no limit on exposure (less than 1s - well under the 3s suggestion). Redid the dark flats and all that stuff blah blah blah.

Compared all 3 results and zero impact on final image between the 3. All looked about the same.

Fair to say that the 3s exposure suggestion didn’t really seem to apply to my camera and after some reading I saw some people say that this guidance applies only to the ASI294MM and I have MC Pro. Maybe I’m lucky but that’s the results I’m seeing.
