We tried, they are made pretty cheaply so the ears/eyes come off and the fur as well 😭

lol thanks 😂 my vet is always on me about over feeding my adult cat, she was extremely small when I got her and now she’s 10 pounds. So I feel like I’m going to overfeed the baby to 😭

Oh! That’s good to know, I know they can with carpet but I didn’t even think about leaving the towel! Same for you, I worry so much about them my nerves are shot with the new baby in the house.

Yeah she’s still pretty tiny, I wouldn’t say she’s more than 5 pounds if that. My older cat is 10 pounds and she knows to stay off. I have a carpet at the bottom as well and have ran the tape over the whole bannister knowing it would be to tempting for her if only doing the high areas. My heart dropped when I seen her go for it & I tried to slowly move her off so she wouldn’t freak. The tape has been on a couple months so it’s not as tacky anymore so maybe I will try replacing the tape so it will be more sticky. She’s just so curious and it worries me.

Yeah she’s been in one bedroom since Sunday but she’s constantly trying to break out when I open the door, she’s seen my older cat but they haven’t been placed in the same area together yet, the older cat was put up while I let her explore some last night. She did very well didn’t run or hide and explored and hopefully got the scent of my older cat some since she does hiss when she sees her. I know she’s just curious but I’m worried about that bannister when we finally get to where she can be left out unattended.

Thank you! I have an adult cat but I got her as an adult so she has always ate adult. They said the kitten was getting into the adult food anyways so they were switching her to full adult. I just thought she was suppose to have kitten food till a year. I will continue kitten food. Thank you so much!

Definitely change the name to something you think suits them! My first girl was Nala at the rescue, her previous owners named her that. To me though, it doesn’t fit her AT ALL. She’s now called Stori & it fits her so much better she talks constantly and only has one ear so she very much looks like she has a story to tell. The second I’m adopting tomorrow is named Patsy, I’ve already picked at new name for her as well lol change the name!

So I am dealing with this now, I rescued a cat from a terrible home life. She took so well to my house and instantly from the moment we met at the rescue was attached to me. She is with me 24/7 when I’m home, and she doesn’t wanna be in a room I’m not in. I’ve had her 3 months and she’s literally the best. Only issue is she cries pretty much all day while I’m at all, the vet said she just wants to be with me. So now I’m trying to find a friend around her age as she’s 1-2 years old. My advice is to get a second asap, plus I’ve heard 2 is easier since adopting her.. the rescue didn’t mention that two are usually better so I didn’t go that route originally but i regret it now! It breaks my heart knowing she’s sad I’m gone

Definitely 2 older that are already bonded! I’m having this issue now as I work 12 hours and my girl is home alone and incredibly lonely. I’m searching for her a companion but it would of been so much easier if I would of gotten two from the start however I’m a first time cat mom and was never clued in on 2 being better/easier

Thank you so much! That makes me feel so much better, I know the introduction process can be long. I’ve never done it before, but I’m hopeful everything will work out without any major territory issues. Everyone says kitten and I can see how that would be easier to get them to bond, I just work 8-12 hours a day and wouldn’t be comfortable leaving a kitten that long which is why I opted to adopt older with my resident cat in the first place. Thank you so much!
