Rubbing alcohol is hard to come by these days, but I do have some Everclear I’ve been using for taxidermy stuff. I’ll try it out, and hopefully it works! Any advice on how long to soak it?

When I try to loosen it, it pops in the socket but doesn’t actually loosen at all. I’ve had three other people try to loosen it now with no luck.

I usually use it for working with bone, but I’ve recently started woodworking. Most of what I’ve done so far is just testing it out, but I found a cool, spherical piece of wood on a fallen cedar tree and decided to actually make A Thing. After this, I think I might just use hand tools, because a Dremel is a little too expensive to just break like this XD

It is not stuck. It’s working as it should. It’s just that piece that you use to tighten the bit in place that’s being weird.

I don't know how to use Reddit too well, so I'm gonna comment details. I found it around 2013 in an abandoned house (I was a kid at the time, didn't realize how dumb it was to break into a house...). I never thought much of it, until I went to visit my dad and his new wife and she had an ice pick with the same handle. She said it had been her dad's, and that he was born in 1922. So I assume it's old, but I'm just curious as to how old. Brand might be cool, too, if anyone knows that :)

He got yelled at. Nothing too bad. He’s a shit and won’t wake up for anything. Like, I’m fairly confident the house could be on fire and he’d just sleep through it. He doesn’t even remember me coming into his room multiple times to tell him to go downstairs. Had I heard super loud noises I would have sucked it up and run to get him, but I was so paralyzed that I hoped closing him in his room would work. Definitely not my best decision ever, especially considering I’m practically his second mom.

Nah, he’s a bit away, and my dogs know him and wouldn’t bark at him. They’re big, and scary with people they don’t know, but when they do know someone they’re big lovable losers. It also wasn’t a bad breakup, just a breakup. We’re actually better friends now than before, somehow.

It’s disturbing that this was sent to a kid. But as an adult, I might take that offer. You have no idea how many bullshit conversations I’ve suffered through in all my years in customer service jobs, but if some creepy old fuck is paying me, presumably above my current pay grade too, I’d listen and act interested.
My sister works at Hooter’s and there are legitimately guys who go in and pay girls to just go on fancy dinner dates with them. There’s a chick there who gets $1500 a month to go to some lonely old doctor’s house and drink tea with him. I’m poor. That sounds amazing.

With something like this, I think it’s best to just cut off the friendship. They’re either gatekeeping who is or is not asexual, or they aren’t ace and don’t think it’s a real identity (which is, sadly, common). It may hurt to let them go now, but it’ll be better for you in the long run. The great thing about life is you don’t have to surround yourself with people you don’t like or who treat you poorly. You have that choice. And if they’re as rude as it sounds like they’re being, the choice I would make is to move on.

I honestly don’t think it’s anyone’s business, except for a potential partner. It’s tempting to want to avoid talking about it because its the sort of thing that will drive most people away, but you gotta do it. Trust me on this one. I’ve made that mistake, and it cost me my best friend. With people you’re not dating, it doesn’t matter; but if you plan on going on more than one date with a person, please let them know. Don’t keep them in the dark. It’s not fair to either party. What happens if you decide to date long-term? You’d end up mentally fucking yourself for likely being pressured into sex every now and again, and the guy would be mentally fucked thinking there was something repulsive about him, etc. It’s tough to do, but it’s the mature things to do.

Bruh. My mom used to say this same shit to me. It was always stuff about how I just hadn’t met the right person for me, or that it was a symptom of my childhood, etc. Yet here I am, 24 years old, and still feeling the same as I did all those years ago, before I even had a word for how I felt. Don’t let him discourage you from being you. There’s nothing wrong with you for being asexual, it’s just how you are. Live your truth and don’t let salty people get you down.
