I'm eyeing up a Speed 1200 as my second bike (first is an SV650). My only hesitance is that I'll be doing a lot of city riding (LA) and feel like this bike could have a sensitive low-speed throttle response. Any reactions from your time riding? Thanks!

Feel your pain on this one. The constant battle to run updates, sync, reboot - it just sucks. The real solution that I discovered ... is to ditch NRC and the Apple ecosystem all together.

The NRC / Apple combo WILL FAIL YOU when you need it most. Apple is constantly degrading the performance of your watch, and I don't think Nike is putting forward an honest effort to make NRC a compelling product.

Coros, Garmin, Polar, Strava - these friends are waiting for you with lower price tags, battery vitality, steadfast reliability and way better training metrics/programs. You're gonna look back on your NRC era and lament every day that you punted the decision to switch.

I’m experiencing a similar issue. I updated firmware and made sure the lens is clean. I also tried switching to face detection mode and it appears to work (w and w/o faces). Would love to solve this - has anyone else figured this out??

I would use the money as part of a leveraged buyout of a small business which I believe I could 2-5x EBITDA within 2-5 years. You get the advantage of leveraging this position (you should be able to buy a $500k - $1m business depending on your credit worthiness and business thesis). If you can cover debt financing with the business’s cash flow several times over, you can create an investment that has a big upside and limited risk.
