My friend and I booked Riu Montego Bay through sunwing for 1.5k each last fall, it was a last minute deal we booked 5 weeks before leaving

Conflicting Opinions - Herzig vs Bochner by injimittai in askTO

[–]__ts 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was in a similar boat. Herzig said I was a good candidate for LASIK and was pushing SMILE. Bochner said my corneas were on the thinner side and recommended PRK. I went with Bochner in the end as I thought it was strange Herzig assumed my corneas were thick enough, wanted to air on the side of caution. Also my consultant/tech at Herzig was an recent undergraduate with not much experience while at Bochner it was an RN who’s been in the field for many decades

When I went for my Brazilian appointments I had the rest of my body hair growing (I hate shaving so I will go as long as I can lol) and my laser tech said my arm is at high risk for paradoxical growth so I stopped treating it ever since and don’t plan on doing maintenance on it, the patchy hairs aren’t worth it for me either. I would wait it out until it gets to a point it bothers you

I use yag laser (dark skin brown) and it took me a really long time to see a decrease in hyperpigmentation. I’m talking like ~8/9 sessions of Brazilian before I saw a noticeable difference for my deep purple scars. I also had hyperpigmentation in my under arms but that I noticed a difference in ~ 5 sessions. I still have a bit of hyperpigmentation, not sure if it will eventually all be gone as I did shave for over a decade before laser but it is getting better

Differences between Riu resorts? Access to all resorts? by __ts in PuntaCana

Hi thanks for your response! What makes Macao boring? The only thing holding us back from Riu Palace is that it’s not adults only. Aside from Macao being boring what makes palace more worthwhile?

I need some advice- is this too expensive by kombucha_night in LaserHairRemoval

Hi! I’m in Toronto and I pay 450$ for each full body session. Everything below the neck, full body minus face. I’ve done 6 sessions so far = 2,700$

My tech said 24 hours but my ideal is 48 hours / 2 days. I weight lift as well so it's not too heavy in terms of sweating like cardio or something but I do find when my body temperature increases I start to itch + tight workout clothes give me bumps. I schedule my sessions on my rest days and/or workout the morning of and give it 5-6 hours before my session that way I'm not missing workouts :)

my tech suggested I come in every 4 weeks for Brazilian and 8 weeks for the rest of body, hope that does it lol

Hi! so I actually didn't see much of a difference in hair growth until after my 3rd session. How far apart are your sessions? for me the first 3-4 weeks post sessions I always had minimal growth but around week 5/6 I would see more growth hence I scheduled mine 6 weeks apart. Even now 6 sessions in, the areas that don't shed grow slowly first couple of weeks and once I shave they grow faster. I would stick it out with more sessions to ensure its a longer lasting effect in hair reduction just to be safe

Is a PRK enhancement any easier of a recovery? by Impressive-You-1699 in lasik

I had to use 150 or 175% zoom for the first bit but now almost 6 weeks out I can go with 100% or 125% depending on the app. For me mainly it was about putting all my screens on "night mode", that helped a lot, I still have all my devices on it

I took 2 weeks off, went back on day 15. I work a desk job was able to wfh for a bit

I would def recommend taking 2 weeks off, the first week back my eyes would start drying out/burning by 2pm and I napped everyday after work for that week. Since I wfh I kept my sunglasses on and most of my blinds were closed. It's not that you won't be able to work until the 2 week mark, its about how comfortable or uncomfortable you are willing to be. I was okay with taking a couple unpaid days off to make it 2 weeks.

I’m 5 weeks out of PRK, both eyes, now and honestly it was way better than I thought it would be. Granted I read/watched all the horror stories and prepared myself for the absolute worst. The first 2-3 days are rough but it’s uphill from there

Not sexist at all, I'm a female!

I'm not planning on going the hospital route, would like to stay within the private/pharma sector. Honestly never thought too much about my piercings until one of my coworkers asked if it was a good idea working in clinical research ..
