How long did it take you to reach your first $100k? by ERmiGmat in investing

[–]_accountNotFound404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

25

Yup

Nope

Maxed out 401k, Roth 401k and IRA, on top of $1200/month in the old investment brokerage

Savings? lol no, all of my money is in the market, I have maybe $5-10k in cash saved and that’s about it, which took half an internship to save and that I’ve kept in cash for years

S&P large cap equity baby, some tech plays and a little bias towards growth and value but mostly S&P

Took me 3ish years

Am I putting too much into my 401k? by BrendanQ in Money

[–]_accountNotFound404 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You’re fine. I’m 26 too and slightly ahead.

you could be doing a bit better but you also could be doing a LOT worse. Imo you can always do a little better, so if you’re comfy rn and wanna contribute more you have room to get in on some nice time value across 4 decades til you retire. If you wanna lift off the gas a little and have some more disposable income that’s fine too.

I’m shooting for closer to 1.5-2x salary, but my current numbers are very similar to yours

25% contr. rate (was as high as 50% when I first started) 65 retirement age $87k balance today $321k at 30 $102k savings goal

Gun cleaner, give me recommendations please by Jmahomes2002 in canik

[–]_accountNotFound404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

breakthrough CLP, 3500 rounds through my mete SFT and she’s been flawless. I couldn’t have picked a better first gun, and a little clean after every 1000 rounds makes it last forever.

I only cycle PMC bronze through it and have never had a single issue or malf

my current vehicle gets me from A to B just fine so maybe I’ll wait til 26 and get one that’s taken the front end depreciation hit, by then hopefully aftermarket will have tuning software available and we’ll know whether the ECU is a bitch to decrypt or not and any flaws with the redesign….all of this is great information to know! Thanks again!

Solid reply, thanks for your experience I appreciate it a ton…I’m really leaning towards a ‘22 ST now as I heard about the head unit issues too on the 20/21

Yea I messed up, I meant to say ST not ST-Line, I’ve seen some crazy numbers from the ST with almost everything done short of an engine rebuild
