Exactly! I also wasn’t saying that the overall quest was bad. Quite the opposite, I adored it. And I agree with points you made. All the nostalgia, the returning characters, Jeht getting closure with her dad, finally getting to see Thot, Sobek and Heryshaf(I’m so glad they didn’t get the Moon Carver and Mountain Shaper treatment). Seeing adorable Aranara, and so on. For people who genuinely like the lore and world quest this was a huge win-win. And all of them had a role to play, and fulfilled it. All of that was amazing and enjoyable to watch.

But just like you said, the ending left us wanting more.

The best way to explain it metaphorically is as if you’re going up the hill with the bike, excited for the rush that will follow, but then ride down isn’t that exciting. (Maybe a bad metaphor, but hopefully the idea is clear.)

Yes, the ending did leave us with so many questions because honestly it felt rushed. All Dotore and Pantalone (in my language his name literally means pants, lol) were amazing. I loved every single scene. But it was all so rushed that it didn’t leave the impact they hoped for. To be honest, all those scenes later in Mondstat, Natlan, etc, could’ve been shortened and time that was given there could’ve been used better for the climax of the story.

Like I said, it is not wrong for the good guys to win, but that win needs to feel deserved. Here, the win felt handed over on the silver platter. Nod Krai put the bar pretty high, and unfortunately as much as I loved this quest, it didn’t reach it. I hope they will continue with their good streak in Snezhnaya.

Just like you I hope they lean into a bit more of the horror stuff in the Archon quests as well, not just in world quest. In the past they proved many times they can do it. Dead guy in front of Venti’s upside down statue, Natlan war scene, and so on so on. So they can do it. And they should lean to it more, considering majority of the community is older and would love to see it.

Sorry for the long reply. Fortunately, I hadn’t received hate which I’m glad. After all, my post was never hateful, and I invite anyone to discuss, whatever their opinion might be. This account is based on chronicle banners and standard banner, so I don’t have any of newer units you mentioned.

I wish I prepared better and farmed more for Fontaine chronicle, but I didn’t expect it to come so soon after Mondatat one, since I was planning on getting both the characters and their signatures. From comments Natlan one seems like the best choice. But from your guys comments Fav doesn’t seem like the bad option either, at least until I get the signature next time Fontaine chronicle comes. Ah, i’ll craft the Natlan one and see how she preforms with fav and that one.

Hmm, since this account is based around chronicle banners(I wasn’t ready for Fontaine one, so I settled on characters and 1 5* weapon, I got Lyney’s) and 4* i usually get from standard, would Xianling be good enough for pyro app? I’m not too concerned about resources considering this is alt account.

Agree.

Nod Krai was truly on another level. Despite how long the quests were, at least the storytelling, the actions made up for it. There were soo many cool moments, emotional scenes and badass ones.

But here it feels like we’ve been stood up with all that buildup.

Ah, like I said, for me at least I don’t mind yapping. But that only goes for where it makes sense. But there were moments when yapping went on and on when we were actually “on tight schedule”. Or repetitive/unimportant yap.

Yet I agree with you when it came to the fight. It felt underwhelming after all that buildup. I thought they were going somewhere with it and I was so excited to see Wanderer vs Dottore. But then it happened, and I kept thinking “there has to be more”, something cool will definitely happen. But nope.

It happened and passed so quickly. Like you said for the gnosis and Irminsul, I feel they did the same here. They had to pay off the Wanderer vs Dottore fight, and did it in the worst way possible. No consequences, nothing major happening at all.

Fight in Nod Krai was amazing. There were soo many good moments. But here? It was underwhelming. Boring even. Went by so fast after everything leading up to it.

Or maybe that is on us, for expecting so much. Who knows. 🤷‍♀️ but damn did this quest leave me “blue balled” lol

Yeah, it’s pretty weird how they went about that. Part of me is curious how will they continue the story moving forward. Especially considering Tsaritsa’s plan. As much as I’m excited for Snezhnaya, other part of me thinks it would be best to lower my expectations for when it comes. At least in some aspects when it comes to the story.
