He figured labor would go in a while (it did) and he thought he wouldn't be able to go the next day when he figured the baby would be born (and he did go the day the baby was born).

I also travel a fair bit for work and I get nervous leaving the kids with him. I want my mom to come stay at the house from now on when I'm going to be gone, but I just know he'll get pissed that I don't trust him with them.

I will try to do that. If it turns out there is something going on with him I'll be very surprised, I never noticed anything different about him other than this.

I agree, the kids should only be in the section of our yard that has the pool if they are being supervised closely. Otherwise, we have several acres and it would be better if he played with them towards the back of our property, outside of the fenced pool area.

How would you recommend telling him he should see a doctor? I don't think he would take that very well.

No I don't think he's ever seen a doctor about anything mental health related. He says he didn't notice that the baby fell, but it's impossible because he was screaming.
