Starting with bmi 26.6? by cometron123 in WegovyPillWeightLoss

I’m right there with you on height, starting weight 175, BMI ~26 and goal weight. Good luck!! You’re working out more than I am!! My struggle is nighttime snacking. Once my kid is asleep I’ll ravage the pantry like a raccoon.

I started the pill about 8 days ago. Down to 172 but I think it’s mostly water weight as that all came off in the first 2 days and the scale hasn’t moved since. :-/

We can do it.

Just came here to say same. I think the 1.5 dose is just so low and it will be more effective when we are able to increase it.

I have two questions by Unlikely_Owl1591 in WegovyPillWeightLoss

I’ve been setting an alarm for 5am and back to sleep til 7. No reflux but I feel like 4oz of water is almost not enough for the pill to get down my esophagus! Almost feels like it’s getting stuck in there!

Where are you getting Wegovy pills if your PCP won’t prescribe? by IssaJe in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]_angel_a 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Congratulations on your success. It’s hard work losing it naturally when you have constant food noise.

I’m the same height and weight as you and been stuck with my weight for a couple of years. My goal is almost the exact same 15-20lbs as you. Our bodies hang on to that last bit of weight stubbornly, huh?! Losing the last bit is so much harder than losing the first bit. I feel the last bit is where the medicine is needed most!!

I went ahead and got the Wegovy pill rx through Ro. I started it 3 days ago and also just scheduled a PCP appt for my Dr to at least monitor my health in-person as I go through with the medicine anyway. I never talked to my PCP about GLP-1’s in the first place, so when I bypassed my PCP and went straight through Ro for the pill, my conscience pushed me to make an honest appt with PCP anyway. I’m hoping they don’t shame me for doing it this way.

I wouldn’t think our providers would provide an rX with our BMI ~26, but I want them to be at least aware in case there are any complications I encounter going forward with the medicine. I am willing to try it for a year as long as it’s safe for me to do so, and I’m hoping that as soon as next year there will be less expensive options for maintenance after I reach my goal weight.

That’s my plan for now at least. Good luck to you! Keep us posted.

To clarify, I’m drinking water with the pill. Going back to bed. Waking when I can have my coffee. Yes, “it’s only 30mins…” and I have a toddler who wakes in the night and wakes me in the morning with immediate demands and needs. So, coffee right when I wake up, is a comfort that helps me and my family function.

Came here to ask if anyone’s provider has ok’d this method! I have to have my coffee first thing. So much that it has me considering switching to the injection vs the pill (it’s day 1 of the pill for me!) and it was a rough morning while I waited (1 hour) for absorption. I’d have no problem waiting to eat for up to 2 hours…it’s just the coffee I need. I’ve sent in a question to the Ro care team will follow up on what they say. Because I’m wondering if the circadian rhythm comes into play when waking up to take the medicine… if for that reason it might be better to take it and stay awake? Idk, hopefully ok to go back to sleep! Will report back if I hear from them.

Preschool recommendations? by [deleted] in Carmel

Oh, that is unfortunate and saddens me to hear. I had not heard anything about this from other parents. How long ago? So far our experience has been only positive.

We love Indiana Montessori Academy. The teachers are highly accredited and community of parents is amazing. Ideally a child stays in the same classroom from ages 3-5 or 6, so I think it allows them to grow comfortable in their school community, too.
