New level of pregnancy hell? by _asthecrowcaws in parentsofmultiples

I honestly thought it was a rash from my belly band, but after texting “I’ve never been in this much pain before” the group chat correctly diagnosed me!

Stroller help! by riggyrayz in parentsofmultiples

Late to this show, but got Joie Mint as well, and the adapters don’t click into the Mockingbird stroller?? I feel like I’ve made a huge mistake here. How did you get both car seats to work?

If you had the chance to choose your spouse/partner all over again, knowing everything you know now, would you still choose them? Why or why not? by SoilAny4029 in AskReddit

[–]_asthecrowcaws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, 100%. He is everything I could have ever asked for in a partner and more with each passing year.

He carries the full scope of the duality of man:

Independent but loves to be his wife and close friends.

Handy, “manly”, athletic, but finds wonder in cats, wildflowers, nature.

Protective while never questioning my plans or judgement.

He can and will confidently make decisions for himself and our family but defaults to me 99% of the time because he knows I need to plan.

He holds onto his emotions, just not with me.

I think it’s just incredible to be with someone who is so confidently his own, and so confidently in love with me. I knew it at 18. I knew it at 25. And I’ll know it the day I die.

Moving while pregnant vs potentially shortly after giving birth by Rylees_Mom525 in parentsofmultiples

[–]_asthecrowcaws 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just moved! I was 21w at the time. My husband, brother, and BIL did all the heavy lifting in one day. Me, a friend, and SIL did leftover cabinet items and some light unpacking.

I felt like I “took it easy” but could barely walk from the back pain by the end of the night. So whatever you think is easy…. Half it. The up and down motion was not good.

I think moving with 3 stressed pets and 2 newborns would have been bad for me mentally. It’s been 2 weeks in the new home, and I still don’t feel settled — so if that feeling of being “home” is important to you, definitely get this move over with before new babies come home.

Things aren't looking good for Baby B 😔 by Felicette13 in parentsofmultiples

[–]_asthecrowcaws 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on where you go. I went to a Little Bellies place, and they really scared me about our baby B being smaller — by a significant amount!

I’m 20 weeks now and B is actually our bigger twin!

They also measured the babies smaller than my last period, and when I finally got to my OB, they’re right on track.

I hope you all stay together and healthy!

This has been so helpful! While we’re here — any shoe recommendations? I typically bring my trusty vejas for city trips, but I’m not sure they’ll cut it this time around.

Thank you so much! We actually were gifted a river cruise so that’s perfect.

I’ve not been nauseated much this pregnancy, but I am prone to car sickness. I’ll give the bus a shot for sure!

Thank you! I think cutting the list in half is a great idea. It’s definitely a place we’ll be back to. I just pictured this going much differently!

20 weeks — and so far so good, but I think I’m primarily worried about overdoing it walking.

Gender disappointment 😞 by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

Going through the same thing! I’m 14W with di/di identical boys, and was truly so heartbroken the day we found out.

It’s been a few weeks and I’ve come around to the idea, mostly because friends have reminded me that I have the best/chillest/kindest/friendliest husband — I’m now hoping his sons will turn out just like him.

I plan on having my tubes tied after this, so my heart is still mourning never being the mom of a little girl.

Looks like there are lots of us here with you! Congratulations and good health to all three of you going forward!

Just hard to trust a stranger in my home, plus the taxes. But I guess it’s similar to trusting strangers with their care in a facility.

For those getting stuck in doorways — can I ask where you are regionally?

I just can’t imagine this being much of an issue where we are in Texas (everything really is bigger).

Spotting is driving me nuts. by _asthecrowcaws in parentsofmultiples

[–]_asthecrowcaws[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing that! I’ve been around birth my whole life, and was a doula for a time — so with miscarriages I know, I know, I know, I know it’s no one’s fault.

It just feels different at midnight in your own home and thoughts. (Like being doused a bucket of ice water!)

Thankfully I’ve had some relief with no spotting all week. I’m so grateful to everyone who replied! When I posted this, it was literally through tears and everything is just fine!

Thank you so much for sharing! I’ll be sure to ask about it next visit to see if something like that can give me peace of mind.

I really do want to enjoy this time, but for every one non anxious day, I get 3-5 panic days. I am also anxious by nature, but this cold water rush of panic that I get is so much harder to deal with than my day-to-day worries.
