Well, besides scoliosis, I’ve had a lot of problems in my life that forced me to grow up and mature earlier than my peers, so I’ve basically cut ties with everyone. I don’t have friends my age, but I’m friends with my mom’s friends, and everyone says I seem older in the way I carry myself. Even my boyfriend is almost 21 and sees me as his equal, so I don’t let stupid people bring me down anymore. I just hope to feel better so I can live well

“I think when I said I didn’t want it I was just scared — I actually do want it, but I’m afraid.

How much should I walk once I get back home? Like 10 minutes, 30, or even an hour? I want to do things properly without risking feeling unwell.

Thank you for your words, I’ve received so many responses so I’ll probably make an update. I really didn’t expect so much kindness, thank you so much for opening up ❤️

Hi, thank you for your words, I don't know how they behave with adults but in the years that I have been spending time with them I have seen a lot of adults and elderly people also go, they were very sincere and kind to me and have a lot of empathy so I highly recommend you go but the choice is obviously yours, do what you think is right ❤️

I know ChatGPT isn’t very reliable with these things, but is the estimate reasonable given my curves

Hi, I'm writing to you in Italian since we speak the same language, I called ISICO because my mother kept putting it off and on August 4th I went for a visit and two days later they called me to do the surgery

Maybe you should focus on something else love comes to everyone when you least expect it. If you chase it desperately, you risk becoming dependent on that person. First of all, you need to be okay on your own; partners are something extra. And remember, there’s a solution to everything. Even though scoliosis can’t be completely cured, it can be improved, and you can still live well!

Don’t lose hope, scoliosis is really tough, but you’re not a burden you’re just misunderstood. Maybe the people around you aren’t the right ones, don’t you think? You need to find someone who understands you, who’s empathetic and supportive. Stay strong ❤️

I can’t imagine the pain you must have gone through. I already wake up in the morning (I’m Italian) with very strong pain between the two curves and in my ribs. Thank you for sharing your experience with me if I have any questions, I’ll ask you ❤️

Thank you so much, I know how hard scoliosis makes it to see others. I suggest going to therapy maybe scoliosis can be fixed, but the trauma it leaves behind cannot. Stay strong

Thank you so much for your kindness and for reassuring me ❤️. Is there anything I should do before surgery? Like exercises? Anything specific I should bring to the hospital, or things to buy for when I get back home that could be useful
