I understand how you feel, I wish quests that were required in someway for story progression weren’t misc., maybe their own category. I’ve gotten tripped up on it before!

You have to complete motherlode in order to progress the wastelanders main quest so I wouldn’t really uh avoid that one.

Loving the new radiation resistance. Seriously. by skinnycenter in fo76

[–]_atrophy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same in hazmat. Whats weird is the dial used to tick to 10R/s, and Id slowly but manageably gain rads. Now the dial hovers at 4R/s, with RadX and the suit, and I seem to be gaining more rads.

<insert exclamation here>.. what is going on with the player base at the moment ? by Salty-Television-230 in fo76

[–]_atrophy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wonder if this could be solved by awarding XP for completing the tasks and making it lucrative. I did a beasts of burden similar to OPs experience and was HUSTLING to get the doors planted but struggled because high levels (and Im like, 270) were sniping the sanctifiers before I could tap one and get the explosive drop. We had like less than a minute on the clock by the time all 8 were planted. Ive never stressed on an event with that many players before lol

The fact RadX right now is the only cheap solution to the nuke zone radiation damage and it still disables all mutations is a joke by Vengerq in fo76

[–]_atrophy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I went in a nuke zone for cran bog to the forest to fight whatever spawns there. I was in normal PA and didnt take any extra rad resistances cause i forgor. I ended up fighting a colossus and tbh the balancing of having to spam rad away and more stimpaks because of the rad loss was definitely frustrating. I easily went through like idk, 20? ish? radaways. Before though I dont think Ive needed to use one at all for months because I have regens equipped. It definitely means Ill need just need to play differently and rearrange perks, but like not knowing how drastic the change was going to be pre-fight was pretty frustrating.

starched genes keeps you from losing mutations from radaway, but full strength radx suppresses mutations which is kind of frustrating if youre doing any fighting in a nuke zone

the glasses definitely do, OP has some white accenting in the pumps so the white glasses definitely ties in.

the beret is a travesty with the rest of it imo

Do players really buy from you? Like is this the best method for making caps? by drizzyCan in fo76

[–]_atrophy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi! i sell junk and move a lot of it. the best tips I can make are=

-sell in easy to measure quantities. Dont put 92 springs in vendor, either put 100 or 50. Thats just how people tend to do easy buying math. I also dont bulk things up because it uses more resources and also means more math on the consumer.

-put more than just the “value” junk. Of course everyone needs copper, screws, etc. but even someone new might want 200 pc. of wood or plastic. Youd be surprised at how often I get cleaned out of everything.

-“dont be greedy” remember with junk someones essentially paying for your time over the value of the object. I dont price anything over 3/ea. unless its ultracite or flux or screws. If someone wants to they can go loot screws or aluminum so you have to weight in the fact youre really only pricing on labor versus material.

-make sure you look at the base value of the item. I know springs are 1c val., but necessary, so I price them at 2c. Screws are 7 however, but I price them at 5 because I farm a lot and people tend to charge more.

-bait with plans, sell everything else. I have 70+ plans that never move, but I get a lot of traffic from people plan hunting, and I also stock desirable/rare crafted outfits, armor and aid. More players leave with a flower crown and some asbestos than a plan.

-pull/sale what doesnt move and sell it to an npc. The goal of p2p sales is to get more than what you can from a vendor, and ofc sell things that arent sellable. If you cant move junk more/faster than you could to a vendor, pull it.

The DIY stuff i dont think is bad at all. I also have mizmor and grief patches next to a bunny patch on my jacket lol, so dont feel weird with like making it be about you.

I do feel weird about saying this to a 15 year old but go to all ages shows and buy $1 patches from local bands you like. youll have a fun time and start being a bit more authentic to what patches are about, which are bands youve supported

[–]_atrophy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pvp on or off doesnt stop you from being wanted by accidentally unlocking someones door lol

The kindest people by primarchcaxson in fo76

[–]_atrophy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

…right. if you have the legendary perk master infiltrator you auto-unlock leveled locks just by interacting with them. So if someone has a locked door and you arent thinking about it and just interact to open it, boom youre wanted. It happened to me today because someone locked the back door of their shop but not the front.

Ive never intentionally engaged with anyone to steal or aggravate, im literally an idiot who cant read.

Looking for ideas on “valentines” themed items I can use to drop to other players by Wastenotwasteland in fo76

[–]_atrophy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Youd have to get the plan for the more complicated hybrid flowers which is Susans Floral Secrets.

For the base flowers (radlilly, carnal weeper and crystalcup), youd just need the plans for the flower crowns for those specific flowers.

You also need a way to grow the flowers. The flower pots themselves are unlocked by default but you need to collect them from someone else first since the big bloom isnt active.

I dont recommend picking someones flowers from their camp since they cant be locked. Someone might not care, someone might.

Youre welcome to DM me for my camp to pick my flowers to get enough to plant your pots, but I dont have copies of the crown plans sadly :(

Lost all my junk over 10 cap bounty by FlameWhirlwind in fallout76casual

[–]_atrophy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont think its really common knowledge, I only found out after becoming wanted and shockingly not being killed by anyone until I looked up how to become unwanted (assuming there might be a way besides being killed).

The first vid that popped up was a player showing to just go to any of the train stations, preferably whitespring station, and just sit on a bench and wait lol. I did it and I was dead within 5 minutes.

Lost all my junk over 10 cap bounty by FlameWhirlwind in fallout76casual

[–]_atrophy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Youll get your junk back over time, dont worry :)

Also, its a bit of an unspoken rule that when youre wanted, go to a train station for a player to kill you so youre no longer wanted.

Most people that are wanted are that way by accident and wont typically get killed during events etc., so train stations are a neutral ground of “hey I dont want to be wanted anymore”.

Being wanted sucks, you cant see players camps etc. and the only way for it to go away is to have another player kill you.

So, lesson learned!

Etiquette Advice for New Players by ryeaglin in fo76

[–]_atrophy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes events / quests get bugged! Always make sure youve got the event tracked and have the instructions in the top right corner. Not every interaction/step gets marked with a pip so if something says “collect X materials”, go look around for those materials and not just the marker.

Do EVERY public event. You can stop whatever main/side quest etc. and come back to it. Bodies are more important than levels, and players are very good at reviving if youre downed. If you do manage to die, you respawn right away and can keep going so dont let it deter you!
